No idea Groovester.

Love51 · 21/08/2017 22:27

Thank you all the 'no sweeter in pulled pork' people. I've never made any pulled pork, but enjoy it when I'm fed it! I'll follow the sw recipe and leave the sweetener out.
Sw also put sweetener in cottage pie, yuk!

Groovee · 22/08/2017 07:36

I would only use sweetener in a pudding lol x

Notmybag · 22/08/2017 09:39

The paella was nice but it made a huge amount! A lot of rice! I would halve the recipe next time.

Groovee · 22/08/2017 09:40

I hate weigh in day. I never know how I've done. Watch all these Instagram photos saying they feel they have a good loss. I just feel a blob😂

Trills · 22/08/2017 10:06

How would you KNOW?

You know what you've eaten, but no one-week's loss is something that you can actually feel, is it?

I suppose you could go from trousers-not-quite-doing up to trousers-just-about-do-up and then you'll know it's a positive result? But you don't have a pair of trousers for every possible threshold.

mayathebee · 22/08/2017 10:08

Thanks notmybag - I really like getting feedback on recipes so I know which ones to try. I love paella so I think I'll have a go at that this week.

Good luck groovee, hope it's a good loss!

Trills · 22/08/2017 10:13

I looked at the paella recipe and thought "there's no sausage in that?" then saw that at the end it says "add chorizo and syns if you want". :o

Groovee · 22/08/2017 10:23

Use the chorizo style sausages from ice land instead?

I sometimes notice something is getting loser. I remember the week I lost 3.5lb, I reckoned I had maintained 😂

I know that since my surgery and the no exercise for 6 weeks I have lost my toning. Can't wait to exercise again.

lauryloo · 22/08/2017 10:35

Weigh in day today!

I've been good and on plan but I'm not feeling confident!

Trills · 22/08/2017 10:43

I just thought it was funny that the title was "chicken and chorizo" and the recipe had no chorizo :)

PositiveAttitude · 22/08/2017 10:56

Another one with weigh day today. I never really know how I have done. Some weeks I have stuck to plan and I manage to put on - other weeks I dread the scales because I have been eating out half the week and I have lost. My body doesn't seem to follow a pattern at all - other than a pattern of chaos! Grin
I simply CANNOT walk through those doors and not have any idea what the scales are going to say, so I always step on the scales just before I go out the door, so that I can get over any disappointment before the actual scales result.

pinklemonade84 · 22/08/2017 11:19

Can I join in too please? I've sent the hubby out today to grab me a copy of best magazine as they have a voucher for free joining at a group. So I've decided to take the plunge and join one of our local groups. I've tried following the plan online, but never really stuck to it. Hopefully going to group will give me some accountability.

I have alot to lose and I'm feeling nervous about walking through the door to that first appointment. But I really need to do this and stay on track.

I've treated myself to a 6 month food diary too and plan on keeping a daily log of everything I eat.

SkeletonSkins · 22/08/2017 12:51

Hi pinkle, you can do it! No matter how much you have to lose there will always have been someone with more so please don't feel nervous as that's what SW is for!

Sometimes I convince myself I've lost loads but haven't lost anything! I think it's so hard to tell but I guess you know whether you've been good or not. I know if I stepped on the scales after last weekend I would not have lost ha

Jacket potato in the oven for lunch, had sugar puffs this morning as I just really fancied them and you get loads for you measurement. Had half my HeA in milk so will have some cheese with my jacket now.

One of those Maggi chicken in a bag things for tea, 1 syn per piece of chicken so prob 2 syns for me.

I'm a bit bored today. This is dangerous for me as boredom = eating.

Groovee · 22/08/2017 13:55

Hi Pink, welcome to the thread x

FoofFighter · 22/08/2017 14:01

Hello Pink, good luck :) I have lost over 15st since joining the last week of May, another 4-5st to go I reckon.

Making curry lentil wedges for taster tomorrow and my house reeks of curry, also boiling up a pan of eggs for snacking on.

B heb weetabix coconut & raisin (heaven!) milk hexa and raspberries
L baked potato 1, primula 6, salad, seafood sticks
T lentil wedges as above with salad and possibly sweet potato wedges if I cba to peel them.

PositiveAttitude · 22/08/2017 14:15

15 stone FoofFighter ??? Shock Shock Shock And here is me dead chuffed with my 5 stone! Bloody hats off to you!!!

SkeletonSkins · 22/08/2017 16:07

Oh god I'm struggling today. Just got this overwhelming urge to EAT.

What do people have as a snack? I'm finding around 3.30/4 I'm looking for food but don't want to drown in muller lights. I know the obvious is fruit /veg but any other suggestions?

FoofFighter · 22/08/2017 16:14

oops.... 1.5st!!

FoofFighter · 22/08/2017 16:15

I rarely snack on just fruit or veg as it's not filling enough (not that I snack often tbh!) but when I do I have protein AND the fruit/veg, so some cold ham, an egg etc

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 22/08/2017 16:53

A maintain for me at weigh in so still in target, pretty pleased with that after a week in Cornwall eating pasties

Runner up in the Woman of the Year competition too Grin I had to stand up and give a little talk on my SW journey and I have to say that my confidence has really improved as there would have been no way that I would have felt able to do that at the beginning of the year!

Groovee · 22/08/2017 16:55

Skeleton I find some quark with some sweetener works x

Turquoise0wl · 22/08/2017 17:05

Only 1 lb off for me, but I really can't complain! I'm hoping for 2.5 lbs next week, so I then get my 2 st award Smile

Trills · 22/08/2017 18:05

I make sweet potato wedges without peeling them Foof. They're fine.

What are these lentil wedges you speak of?

Groovee · 22/08/2017 18:44

-2lb! Only 1lb to my 3.5st award.
