This was really interesting as I feel I've been following the plan but weight loss is minimal. Only 5.5 lbs in 5 weeks but I have been having mugshots and pasta n sauce as meals especially at work. Think I need to stop this
Also my consultant said it was fine to cook chicken with the skin on and remove after which I have been doing we eat a lot of chicken so is that wrong?
I have also saved all my sins for wine at the weekend and have had no sins at all in the week
I have also been eating lots of grapes which I know are high in sugar do I need to cut them out?

AvaLeStrange · 06/03/2016 10:55

Our consultant did say that saving all your syns for the weekend isn't ideal.

I know personally that too much pasta does me no favours, but that's not the same for everyone. I wouldn't think Mugshots would do a lot of damage but pasta & sauce on a daily basis would certainly stop me losing.

The consultants seem to differ on skin off skin in thing.

The official advice is skin off.

I did SW to lose weight from first child. I found then that a daily pasta in sauce or a couple of mugshots a day slowed down my weight loss. Are you having a third of your meals from the speed veg?

I am doing it again to lose weight after ds (left it a while.....he is five Grin) I am a stone down in four weeks. The only fruit I eat is speed fruit. Are grapes speed?

Sounbelievablydull · 07/03/2016 19:31

Yes I think I'm not doing myself any favours
From today no more pasta and sauces I'm sure they are no good for me anyway
I'm going to swap the grapes for a different fruit
Cooking a slimming world chicken curry for tonight
I'm determined to loose this horrific weight I've gained

AvaLeStrange · 07/03/2016 19:46

Ooh, which curry are you doing? We've done the korma & tikka masala and both were lovely.

Going to have a crack at the onion bhajis next time!

There was a conversation at group this morning. Apparently batchelors keep messing with the recipe for pasta in sauce. Some pasta in sauces that were free are now synned. But they aren't being very forth coming.

Batchelors make a lot of the own brand ones too. So it possible their syn values have gone up too.

I am my third week in and have lost 11lb, 8lb in my first week. I have loads to lose. Really enjoying it so far!

WipsGlitter · 07/03/2016 21:26

I've only lost 2lb on my first week but was all over the place at the weekend. Plus I have my period. But better than nothing!!

Sounbelievablydull · 07/03/2016 22:12

Hi Ava
I just did the one in the book I was given at enrolment, I added peppers to it and it was very nice,
Do you buy the magazine for recipes?
I'll have to increase my repotoire sp??significantly if I'm going to keep this up long term, which is a must.

Mummyme87 · 08/03/2016 07:47

I lost 0.5lb in my first week... I had my birthday so are cake and wine and chips.
Then 4.5lb second week. I'm 7wreks in and lost 1stone 1/2lb.
I still go off plan a bit, life's too short to never eat anything naughty

Flossyfloof · 08/03/2016 07:55

Sounbelievably - repertoire ( only because you asked)
Second weigh in for me today. Lost 1 1b last week - so disappointing but I did gave one day off. I have stuck to plan this week.
I don't have that much to lose, my target was to go for a stone. I didn't realise I was going to have to set my own target when I first attended, but I would be ecstatic with that.

AvaLeStrange · 08/03/2016 18:31

I've bought the last couple of magazines and done a few from them, adapted the odd recipe when I've needed to and DD had a trawl through the website and printed off some that she wanted to try too
