I'm doing the walk of shame back to class on Wednesday having completely failed to keep the weight off on my own :(

Oh, choc as I'm assuming you have a sweet tooth, what do you do with regards to sugar/sweeteners? I used to use sweeteners in my tea, and drink diet drinks before I got pg last year. Then I switched to sugar and "full fat" fizzy drinks as didn't care about weight gain! I've now done a bit of reading on aspartame and would rather avoid it...but know I won't be able to shift all my weight if I have sugar in my tea (have 2-3 cups a day).

What does everyone else do? Do you worry about artifical sweeteners being bad for you?

Morning all!

Crazy busy few days here. Baptism and party a roaring success, it was such a lovely day. I have eaten my body weight in cake though. In laws arrive today so sadly won't make it to group for weigh in.

Am just off to clean the bogs! Back later!

Morning! Glad all went well on Sunday TDT Smile

I've been up most of the night, and now the baby decides to finally fall fast asleep. Can't wait for him to start sleeping a bit more at night bless him.

Yesterday's food diary:

B: 2 x pieces toast with l/f spread + 2 cups tea (one teaspoon of sugar in each)
L: Tin of chicken noodle soup, yogurt
D: Vegetable stir fry
Snacks: Twelve squares of Dairy Milk Blush but it's all gone now. One biscuit.

Not sure what today will bring, but hoping to do jacket potatoes with baked beans. Tis FIL's b'day which obvs means a slice of cake.

Have a friend who's a fab photographer coming over this am to take pics of the baby, let's hope he plays ball!

TDT so glad the weekend went ok

re sugar. I would rather take the sugar than artificial sweetener. I avoid aspartame as much as possible. I don't have diet drinks anymore as they caused awful bloating unless with alcohol Wink though that is not very often as I tend to stick to Prosecco (28 syns per bottle) Grin

I have noticed that I don't have as many migraines now that I don't have food with aspartame in it Smile

Right I'm back! For good. Had a couple of weeks off but I'm ready for it now.
How is everyone else getting on?

Food yesterday
B: shreddies and fruit, skim milk
L: potato and leek soup
D: Singapore noodles
Snack one pancake with syrup. Just one though!

doing that crap I have left the classesSad going to try on my own for a bit and once I have my diet head back on I'll go back.

B- bizarrely, home made veg soup. apple, ff yogurt
L- lets not discuss it, it was that bad
D- probably turkey steaks with jacket potato and sugar snap peas

no cheese as I have given it up for lent Smile

how's everyone else doing? i need motivation to help me loose weight. I threw all my size 16's away when i lost my weight last time and apart from my knickers i refuse to buy anything higher than a 14. Hopefully that will help me keep the weight under control.

Completely failed going alone,and am now huge, beginning to think SW is just not for me, but its the only thing/way i know how to attempt to loose weight.

I need some motivation.



  1. Christmas is coming and I will once again be the token fat sibling
  2. Skiing, hopefully in February and i will not fit into my gear at this rate.
  3. Away with the family at Whit and again my Sisters are all gorgeous and slim and we will all be in bikinis and i know i'll feel shit and compare myself. The weight I lost to be bridesmaid last year came back and brought some friends with it :(
  4. Snoring is out of hand and i have to sleep in the spare room so we can all get a good nights sleep.


That should all motivate me, but i just feel sad and pathetic, so i need you guys to slap me back into the right frame of mind....pretty please

Hi Huff Grin lovely to see you, how's the baby?

The thread did what it usually does, starts full steam ahead, then dwindles to nothing, but hey ho, going to try and give it a go, will have to do something or i will be mortified come February when my ski gear doesn't fit. Its in our friends apartment so i cant even check it out!

Baby is great. ..3 months old already and she's a beautifully natured little thing who is always smiling!
I need to find my mojo too as DP is talking about getting married in a year and a half so don't want to feel bleugh in a wedding dressConfused

Finding your mojo is damn hard isnt it. I know what I need to do but part of me is so damn complacent.

Spent the weekend away so no shopping as yet. I'm at pilates later so will shop afterwards. I'm going to be very strict with myself as to what goes in my trolley.

Turkey and fruit, lots of it!

Of course. I'm the same, I just pop in sporadically.
I'm doing my weigh in on Thursday mornings. I have given up the morning smoothness but that means my fruit intake has gone from hero to zero :( trying to get that intake up.

Need some motivation/ ideas for meals...here's what I will not eat...
Bananas
Nuts
Pasta
Rice
Kangaroo balls!!!

Any ideas are hugely welcomed :)

Choc - have you thought about low carbing? I noticed you said you had a terrible sweet tooth, and having to cut out the sugar completely might be a good way of kicking the addiction.

(I'm not sure what the etiquette is regarding posting about a different diet on a diet specific board - apologies if I've made a terrible faux pas!)
