Help 6 months old waking up every 45 minutes at night

Hello,

My 6 months old baby has been waking up every 45 minutes at night time and she only feeds to sleep. She is basically attached to the breast all night. I am going completely insane and I am really keen to understand how other people have solved this issue. She refuses the bottle and I am not a fan of sleep training.

Any advice welcome on how to support the sleep cycle and also reduce the feed to sleep reliability.

Thank you

Both of mine were like this, we tried all sorts but I'm afraid the only thing that worked was time. I can't really remember the details for DC1 but DC2 slept appallingly from about 5 to 9 months, including several weeks of half hourly wakings, then at about 9.5 months things just...started to improve. We didn't change anything, I think he just had a bunch of development to get through that was disturbing his sleep. Now at 11 months he goes down at about 7 and wakes for feeds at about 1 and 5, then up for the day at about 7, which is very tolerable for me.

@Continualloop was your baby crying when you were staying next to the baby? Mine cries as soon as she realises it's bed time. It's just exhausting

We are at a point in which she starts crying as soon as she wakes up and I don't offer the breast.

Things have started to improve for us as well. I changed the distribution of the naps and I am teaching my daughter to self settle with no crying methods. We went from 8 wakes at time to 4 at times. I also have changed the feed routine both during the day and during bed time. Hopefully things will continue to improve
