MyEye · 07/11/2007 15:31

Oh yes, absolutely.

onepieceoflollipop · 07/11/2007 20:56

I originally said yes but like the saying about fortune favouring the brave and might try "no" tonight and see what happens! (although may become cowardly by 11pm)

mahonia7 · 07/11/2007 21:23

yes

GibbonInABloodSoakedRibbon · 07/11/2007 21:24

Did feed at 10 but didn't wake DD - did it in her sleep

No

salsa · 07/11/2007 21:26

Yes I wake my DD at 10.00pm to feed, she is 11 weeks. She will then sleep until 7.00am. If I don't I will have her awake about 4.00am.

ChasingSquirrels · 07/11/2007 21:26

no (never wake a sleeping baby at any time unless it is to do the school run)

Frizbe · 07/11/2007 21:26

Same here, dd1 and 2 both fed in their sleep at 10.

ThomasTankEngine · 07/11/2007 21:28

I said yes, but I don't actally wake DS: he feeds in his sleep at 10.

barbamama · 07/11/2007 21:52

onepiece go on! Have a go! throw caution to the wind!

I was too scared last time and only did it by mistake this time as fell asleep! The first time baby might wake up at some ungodly hour but on balance it is better for us this way as 9 wk old doing 8-6 now which is pretty much like a good night's sleep!

Mind you I still don't got to bed before midnight after getting everything done .......

onepieceoflollipop · 07/11/2007 22:10

barbamama she wakes up at 2am anyway and several other times if I'm unlucky, and has not long settled tonight (around 8.30pm) So surely I've not got much to lose. Look out for a tearful thread tomorrow if it all goes wrong...

MonkeyTrumpet · 08/11/2007 16:13

Just to add to the debate, I decided to experiment with DS (6mo) last night and didn't wake him. Before he generally woke at 4am for a feed, last night he slept through! Statistics of small numbers, I know, but interesting nevertheless.

jumpyjan · 08/11/2007 16:19

I never ever ever woke dd!

Tbh I prob never really got the chance as she was waking to feed every 3 hrs. But still reckon I prob would of left her if she was sleeping.

MeAndMyMonkey · 08/11/2007 16:20

No!

Reesie · 08/11/2007 20:22

Nope!

onepieceoflollipop · 08/11/2007 20:32

Further to my post last night I left mini lolly (12 weeks) sleeping last night and she woke up at just gone midnight. I then got up again around 5am as although she wasn't crying she was gnawing frantically on her dummy and was definitely hungry! It was worth a try though and I may risk it again.

love2sleep · 08/11/2007 20:42

No.

umma · 08/11/2007 20:51

yes

lupo · 09/11/2007 06:54

yes, if it help him sleep through

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 09/11/2007 09:45

We used to with DD (4.5 months) but now don't and after a couple of early wake up calls she now does about 9-7ish. She hated being woken up and we felt it was a bit unfair (I thought it was a bit unfair that she might wake me at 3am!)

You can't predict it, you just have to bite the bullet and do it, but preferably on a day when DP is on duty!
