Anyone else dreading it?! 😬

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Scratchyfluffface · 26/10/2019 00:16

NO!! I LOVE when the clocks go back, hate it when they go forward though - I get almost like jet lag

KeepYourCup · 26/10/2019 00:17

I can't wait. I love this time of year when night time actually feels like night time.

Bofster37 · 26/10/2019 00:24

An extra hour in bed?? Why would we be dreading it?!

user764329056 · 26/10/2019 00:39

Dreading it as it’ll be dark so early in the afternoon

BackforGood · 26/10/2019 00:39

No.
I love an extra hour's sleep.
It's one of the best night's of the year.

JaneJeffer · 26/10/2019 01:07

Hate it!

DramaAlpaca · 26/10/2019 01:09

I love the extra hour of sleep, but hate it getting dark so early afterwards.

AlexaAmbidextra · 26/10/2019 01:10

I used to hate it when it fell on my night duty. It turned a twelve hour night into thirteen hours. It seemed endless.

carrots555 · 26/10/2019 01:14

If the clocks didn't go back, given as it's only just light at about 7.45am now, it'd only get light at 8.45am by the time we get into deep winter.

SnowWhite26 · 26/10/2019 05:46

Yes!! Children will be awake at 4 15 not 5.15!

RolytheRhino · 26/10/2019 05:53

Yes. I feel like my one year old will fail to appreciate that the clocks have gone back and her 5.40 a.m. wake-up will just become a 4.40 a.m. wake-up. Sad

Celebelly · 26/10/2019 06:27

Yes I posted this in the baby sleep section for reason Grin

Yes but I’m planning on keeping DD extra late and hopefully she’ll adjust her sleep.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 26/10/2019 08:01

I like it because it's lighter in the mornings again for a little while.

greypetex · 26/10/2019 08:48

When my kids were young I just changed to clock at lunchtime. It never made any difference.

MrsJBaptiste · 26/10/2019 10:24

This time change is just awful when you have small kids BUT... when they're older and nobody cares what time they get up, you'll appreciate this time of year!

Thismummyruns · 26/10/2019 19:31

DREADING being up at 5am tomorrow Confused

Bofster37 · 26/10/2019 19:53

But you won’t be?

joffreyscoffees · 26/10/2019 20:03

Well DD was up at 4.30 this morning, so I can't wait for 3.30 tomorrow Sad I've tried to keep her up later tonight and managed an extra 45 minutes so I hope that's done something to help.

Otherwise, I'd be loving the extra hour.

Celebelly · 26/10/2019 20:08

Yes, pre-baby it was great! An extra hour in bed. Post-baby, eh not so much! Pretty sure she won't have got the extra hour in bed memo. Hopefully her body clock shifts to new routine sooner rather than later

HalfManHalfLabrador · 26/10/2019 20:15

I love the extra hour sleep because I don’t have young kids

bobstersmum · 26/10/2019 20:19

I've just been reading an article that said we wont be altering the clocks after next year, not sure how true that is!

gingeristhenewblack43 · 26/10/2019 20:57

I'm almost 8 years into my sentence of having an early riser. Hurrah for being woken at 4.30 tomorrow instead of 5.30 🎉

greypetex · 26/10/2019 21:02

I think Brexit will prevent it!

girlmummy25 · 26/10/2019 21:52
