Before having DS I used to have a full 9/10 hours a night 🤣
Now my DS is 15 months and I get usually 7/8 hours, usually up at 6am. I may have to get out and shhh him once or twice a night but not always.
Just interested to hear what other mummy's get and how old bubbas are 😃

About 6 or 7 hours. My kids are 9, 4, 2, 10 months. It's the 4 and 2 year old that keep me up.

Lindah1 · 03/08/2018 21:36

13 month old and very similar to you OP

LEMtheoriginal · 03/08/2018 21:37

Women and babies

elmo1980 · 03/08/2018 21:38

7-8 hours with an 18 month old and 11 week old. I'm sleeping more now than I did when i was pregnant (suffered terribly with spd). Just praying ds2 doesn't suffer too much with regressions, I've got used to sleep again now!

ElinorOliphantIsCompletelyFine · 03/08/2018 21:39

2 years old.

He goes to bed at 9, wakes up automatically around 6am. Most days he sleeps through. If he wakes up, it's around 3. I usually sleep from 9/10 -5. I get up early so I can squeeze in some yoga :)

Thesearmsofmine · 03/08/2018 21:40

I am pretty lucky at the moment. Mine are 7, 5 &2. Youngest sleeps from 7pm until 8-9am so I usually get at least 8-9 hours, more if I go to bed at a reasonable time. I am glad to be out of the baby years now!

RainRainGoAwayy · 03/08/2018 21:40

Around 6 hours a night. DS is 16 months and gets up at 5.30am (plus usually wakes twice during the night). I'm also pregnant so generally lose another hour due to pregnancy insomnia Angry

EdgeOf17 · 03/08/2018 21:41

@LEMtheoriginal my teeth are itching

OP it's 'parents/women and babies'

EspressoPatronum · 03/08/2018 21:42

Fuck all 😒

Teaandbiscuits35 · 03/08/2018 21:44

5 hours and DC are 4 and 14. The little one is usually up at 5am and the older one always has things going on so by the time I’ve done everything and actually had an hour to myself it’s midnight. Permanently exhausted.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 03/08/2018 21:44

I remember when I had been back at work for 6 months (so ds would have been about 18 months by that point) realising that I hadn’t yet done a day at work with more than 5 hours sleep.

I got a bit more on non work days as I would get some sleep while dh gave the kids breakfast. Maybe 6 hours on a good day. And then a lie in at the weekend. Although dd started a 9am class on a Saturday a few months later.

Generally though - neither child slept through until over 3 so I had 6 years of broken and limited sleep. (Dh was —fucking— awesome at sleeping through all of it.)

My youngest is 5 now and I suspect I am slightly damaged as a result - my sleep patterns are very very bad.

But I am no longer obsessed with sleep so that is a positive.

Wow that's brilliant motivation Well done 😃

DS is 6 months and I get woken up every 2-3 hours. The only way I get any sleep is to let him breastfeed to sleep in my bed, otherwise I spend half the night trying to make him go back to sleep in his cot.

timeisnotaline · 03/08/2018 21:48

Fuck all. The baby gripes till early hours (3am last night) and the 3 yo is up between 6&7. I sleep in on the weekends and nap when I can. If I were one of these mumsnet martyrs who do all the nights and give their dh the weekend lie ins one of us would have died violently by now.

NorfolkEnchance · 03/08/2018 21:49

I average 6hrs and 8 mins according to my sleep tracker.
Children are 4 and 2 but sleep 11-12 hrs solid every night so i can't blame them!

ElinorOliphantIsCompletelyFine · 03/08/2018 21:50

Newmum26 Thanks! I find it makes me focus and sets me up for the day. On the days I don't manage to do it, I am an absolute grump! I work with people all day so I have to be cheerful 😂

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 03/08/2018 21:52

2-3 hours if I'm lucky. My 'bubbas' (Envy) are 13 and 11.

To be fair it's not them that keeps me awake. It's DPs snoring AngryAngryAngry

About 5 hours and they're 15 and 20 (oldest doesn't even live here!).
Make the most of it; later you won't be able to sleep anyway 😂

MrSpock · 03/08/2018 21:59

8 hours and I feel tired all the time because it’s broken by DPs sleeping habits.

Figmentofimagination · 03/08/2018 22:00

At the moment 9-10 hours. DS is 15 months and is very lazy ATM, sleeps 8-8/8:30. I hope it never changes but knowing my luck it will do.

Smurfybubbles · 03/08/2018 22:05

DS is 3 months old and I'm surviving most days on 5/6 hours of broken sleep. DH sometimes wakes up early enough to take him for an hour or two and let me get back to sleep but mostly doesn't. Also takes him on a Saturday night so I get about 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep!
I love sleep so much and miss it terribly! I can't function properly on less than about 6/7. Just waiting for my system to recalibrate and get used to the lack of sleep Confused

Helpmemyhairisterrible · 03/08/2018 22:11

19 months and five weeks. Baby slept 12-5 last night (whoopee!) and toddler has been consistently good since about 11 months. I do night wakings in the week but DH stays up with baby and gets up with toddler at 5-6 in the morning. I get to stay in bed till 7ish if I want to. I have definitely got the better deal in our house!

thisonebreath · 03/08/2018 22:25

Mine are 7 & 9 and obviously sleep through, but their atrocious sleeping when they were little has fucked my sleep patterns. So I might have about 7 hours total...but I wake every couple of hours so never feel that rested.

And yeah, it's women and children/babies.

n0ne · 03/08/2018 22:25

Average about 6 hours on a good night? DD2 is 11mo and a shite sleeper. She never goes down til 11pm at the earliest and is then up again at 6-7am. Some nights she wakes up once or twice too. And naps are very hit and miss - today she napped for 1 hour. I have no idea how she survives on so little sleep, I know I barely can! Confused
