Has anyone else seen the article about the lush sleepy body lotion?! A mum claims it helps her daughter sleep through! Up to 14 hours! I might try it on my 8 month old ds. Thoughts?!!

Interesting! Am following this as have seen the article!

HT85 · 14/08/2017 10:09

It seems safe so why not give it a go and see how you go? I might do the same! I cosleep after first night waking, but that first waking is 12 or 1, would be great to stretch that out a bit (and stretch out in the bed!)

I think I'm just thinking about 'safety' I don't want to go putting anything on his skin! I don't lush products are full of chemicals though! Will read up on product!

I know Lush is handmade but a lot of it still had chemicals in!

alittlepieceofme · 14/08/2017 11:00

Oh really! I think maybe it's the lavender that helped the little girl to sleep so perhaps I'll look into that! Smile

I'd just buy some lavender pillow spray. It's probably just that and the massage before bed that's doing it!

I actually popped into lush today. It has lavender and oatmeal in it. The product was sold out, but they gave me a sample, which I tested on me, than a small bit on her this morning. No reaction. So little one has had her bath and I have applied the cream this evening. Will let you know how we get on 😊

Please do let me know! Thank you! Smile

Yes, the stuff is trading on ebay for ££'s

SnugglySnerd · 14/08/2017 20:01

I put 2 drops of lavender oil in the babies' bath. They usually drop off straight away afterwards so I think it helps but I think babies just sleep through when they are ready. I have twins with same bedtime routine one sleeps through, one doesn't.

This is the kind of viral marketing a company can only dream of. I think a pp is right that it was probably a combination of lavender with a relaxing body rub.

It could be them that initiated the "marketing" story lol. But worth a go. And the fact that I could test it out first is great. My little one sleeps through, then goes weeks where she doesn't. We have had weeks on the trot of very little sleep. I work twilights, if we can get a full nights sleep in our house it will be amazing. If not. . . I have my caffeine stores stocked lol. Will let you know how we get on.

Bumdishcloths · 14/08/2017 20:20

Whilst it smells lovely, it is absolutely not a miracle cure for insomnia, and whoever claimed it was is a bit of an idiot really. Sorry.

But it does smell lovely, honestly.

Evasmummy16 · 15/08/2017 12:20

My little one slept from 6.30pm till 4am with it on. (We are pretty sure the thunder and lightening woke her) and she went back off to sleep. will try again tonight and if successful will be buying it! might be a fluke but at least we all got some sleep! lol.

totally agree it won't cure actual insomnia, but if it gives a baby a soothing nights sleep I'm game! 😁

IdoHaveAName · 15/08/2017 12:23

What is it called? Might head to Westfield today and pick some up.

alittlepieceofme · 15/08/2017 15:36

I think it's called sleepy body lotion?!

I've just ordered some along with this works deep sleep pillow spray. My 19month old has never slept through the night. He always wakes up at least twice but last night he was awake 6times and that's quite normal. Also have an 8yr old who doesn't go to sleep till 10pm (he just sits in his bed and plays with Lego from 7pm) and is up at 6 most mornings. It sure can't hurt to try it

LiquorsOnDeck · 16/08/2017 08:52

We tried it last night. My 4.5 year old slept 18.30 until 07.00 - she has been wakeing at 05.00 recently. Am thrilled to bits but aware it may be a fluke. Will try again tonight.

Evasmummy16 · 16/08/2017 09:03

second night of trying it and she slept through till 6am. will be ordering and crossing fingers it continues lol

Knope2020 · 16/08/2017 09:09

It is lovely
Just as an aside...i also use the twilight bath bomb and body spray which is the same scent..
My 8 year old loves it:)
