Should we have a childrens ski clothes pass on thread, for all those who are going and want to kit out cheaply, and for us who have grown out gear??

I have seen loads on threads asking about places to buy ski gear, but I have some which is now outgrown and would be happy to pass on/sell for postage or whatever. BUT it is not in the same vein as the 'for sale' boards, so I wondered if we should start a thread on this??

I know I have a few bits for 3 - 4 yr olds, without checking I think I have some black salopettes, a pink ski jkt, a blue and grey all-in-one (v unisex so useful, bought from MN a couple of years ago!!) Actually I have 2 of the all-in-ones, but I wouldneed to see if DD2 fits the larger one, if not I have one in aged 2 - 4 and one in aged 4 - 6. Also have a couple of gap polo nucks that we used as base layers in age 4. May have some gloves too.

Perhaps if anyone has other grown out bits they should post here to pass them on. Ski stuff is hardly ever worn out and is pricey to buy all new. It is bad enough buying the thermals/gloves/goggles/hats/socks without the outer layers too.

For accessories I got stuff from Sainsburys (£5 for ski-gloves) and ASDA. They seemed to be the cheapest places.

Has anyone outgrown a 12-14 ski jacket pref pink ? More than happy to pay for it.
DH is also convinced we should buy boots and ski's for us, I think he's hoping to go again, so if anyone has seen any good deals would they let me know ?
Thank you very much.

Hello. Does anybody have any ski wear for my 6.5 year old dd?

xfabba · 15/01/2009 15:26

Hi there I need to kit out a smallish 4 year old for first ski holiday - he could probably wear age 3-4 rather than 4-5 if you see what I mean.

Mercedes · 16/01/2009 09:43

Ive got a pair of girls pink/black snow boots size 32 ( I think) They were worn for a week so are in good condition. They were bought in Sweden and its what the kids use their to wlak around in - so they are v. warm and easy to put on and off.

Happy to send to someone for postage.

Belo · 20/01/2009 11:53

Oh yes please Mercedes if they're still available. I could send you payment today via paypal?

Mercedes · 20/01/2009 13:20

Belo - why don't you email me at [email protected] and we can organise it. I have a feeling that we live in the same area.

Belo · 20/01/2009 14:38

Have emailed you!

Belo · 22/01/2009 09:18

BIG THANK YOU MERCEDES xx

Does anyone have any kids' ski helmets they'd like to sell? i'm in london.

jicky · 28/01/2009 13:20

I have a very tiny pink helmet - worn for about a week before out grown!

vivat · 28/01/2009 13:54

Hi - does anyone have some baby snow boots size 6, or sunglasses for baby, 4yr old or 8 yr old, thanks

ClementFreudsGreatestAdmirer · 28/01/2009 14:45

jicky i need one for a 5 year old and a 9 so i guess tiny would be too small!

jicky · 28/01/2009 20:36

Yes too small - was worn at 3 but too small by 4 (but does fit other 4 year olds). Think had freakish head growth last year as I was sure it would last 2 seasons.

popmum · 01/02/2009 10:01

Hi - I have a girls 2 piece snowsuit set aged 3/4. Made by snapdragon. Raspberry pink with jacket and salopettes which come up v high on tummy. Quite thin jacket by skiing standards but good for layering up! CAT me for details

mummypig · 24/03/2009 14:28

hi if anyone has a baby ski suit (9-12m) or boys' snow boots sizes 9 1/2 (27) or 1 (33) please CAT me. I would be extremely grateful not to have to buy these new. Dp is on parental leave and we have decided to go away together but it's all very last minute!

Thanks

happyland · 07/01/2010 19:36

Evening all, does anyone have snow boots for a girl size 9 10 and a boy size 6 or 7. Have left a bit late though - we leave for Chamonix in 9 days!
much appreciated

mckenzie · 10/01/2010 22:01

DadInsteadofMum, are either of the salopettes in a girlie colour by any chance?
