As suggested by Swedes, a snapshot 'yea or nay' poll to get your verdict on the Budget. Mumsnetters are discussing the Budget here

Well work this one out - I have answered that it is a 'thumbs down' for family finances (we will loose cashola)...but this does not necessarily mean that I disagree with the budget. In fact I concur that higher earners (including dh) should pay a higher tax band..( I don't much like it but I accept that it is morally correct)

This mumsnet poll is flawed - by answering honestly (yes it does adversely affect my families finances) there is the assumption that I therefore oppose it. Not the case!

Swedes · 23/04/2009 23:18

Yes, hmc - quite a few people have pointed that out. I voted originally from another page and it just said thumbs up or thumbs down. But agree anyone voting from here will be answering only from their family finances point of view. We might have to call for a re-run of the poll.

SO, 57 per cent thumbs down, 43 per cent thumbs up

Given the, er, confusion caused by the wording, this probably falls within the margin of error
