upagumtree · 01/04/2009 12:34

Just seen your question on the live stream. He was a cheeky bugger wasn't he? "If you can explain SDR's on mumsnet i'd be surprised"!!!

policywonk · 01/04/2009 12:35

well done Thready

AM not wearing a green scarf - who are you talking about? The woman with the hijab? She's from DFID I think.

Leaked communique guy is Oxfam man - Duncan... something (arse)

I laughed at that too

policywonk · 01/04/2009 12:35

You understood about SDRs, didn't you? You little ladies.

OP posts:
gizmo · 01/04/2009 12:36

Nice one thready, and totally comprehensible.

gizmo · 01/04/2009 12:36

I suspect SDR man doesn't understand it himself, hence flustered bullshitting

Threadworm · 01/04/2009 12:37

I don't think he was being patronising. I think he was pointing to the incomprehensibility of SDRs rather than the stupidity of mums.

upagumtree · 01/04/2009 12:37

lol@gizmo

ingles2 · 01/04/2009 12:38

this lady is extremely waffley... the one in the green scarf.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 12:38

I meant the blonde women with a green scarf round her neck, she was gesticulating wildly a little while back.

I think I'm on a serious time lag on the rest of you - I'm totally out of the loop.

Bugger, might as well go and do some parenting. Tsk.

onebatmother · 01/04/2009 12:38

Oo-er

gizmo · 01/04/2009 12:39

Re Social Behaviour: someone at the event I went to last night made good point that we shouldn't underestimate the ability of people to effect changes in behaviour - we now live in a largely multiracial society in a way that wouldn't have been conceivable 50 years ago. Ditto homosexuality, and the rise in the rates of recycling.

gizmo · 01/04/2009 12:40

You may be right, thready, but you managed to explain it beautifully in one measured paragraph.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 12:40

See, I'm only just getting the patronizing SDR stuff.

policywonk · 01/04/2009 12:40

Ah, that green scarf lady - she's Oxfam.

Just want to clarify that I don't think Duncan is an arse, just wish I could remember his name. Damn you, soft drugs.

This is boring isn't it? I'm hungry.

OBM did you see my Twitter question below?

OP posts:
Threadworm · 01/04/2009 12:41

All part of the cut and paste thrust of the internet, gizmo.

gizmo · 01/04/2009 12:41

My, but Vicky has beeeuuutiful hair.

onebatmother · 01/04/2009 12:41

Has Pol asked a question?? I'm a bit lost now I thought they were talking about how to get the best out of the next 2 days

ingles2 · 01/04/2009 12:42

This is boring PW. Why waste time discussing how you going to go about blogging, just get on with it, whilst you have the opportunity to ask big questions

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 12:43

gizmo · 01/04/2009 12:43
