How has a man been able to post his penis on one of forces sweethearts posts??

thought after the child abuse pictures a few months ago this shit wouldn’t be possible again??

Hi all. We're currently investigating why this image wasn’t blocked by our filters. It was posted at 6:23 am and removed shortly after 8 am.

Unfortunately, Mumsnet does attract a number of men who believe it's appropriate to post explicit images. Since introducing image filters, these posts have been successfully screened and blocked - until now. We're looking into why this one got through. To clarify - it was not approved by a moderator!

@BeckyAMumsnet I assumed after the inappropriate photographs of children, that all images were now held for approval before being allowed through?
I don't think the excuse of no-one approving the photo stands, someone must have done, seeing as all others seem to have to be approved?

All images are run through the filter before appearing on the site (this is why there is a slight delay when posting images). If the AI deems it okay, then it appears. Images that are flagged for review are not shown on the site until approved by a moderator. In this case, the image was not flagged for review, which we are investigating.

I don’t think the approving process is done by an actual human. Images appear pretty quickly after being posted.

It is if they're flagged for review @MsDDxx - possibly our least favourite job!

Hi @ParvuliThankYouDebbie Just to clarify, our moderation system includes multiple layers: user reports, human moderators, nightwatch , and AI-supported flagging. We use one of the most advanced tools currently available, but as with any automated system, it’s not perfect, which is why we don't rely on it in isolation and we're actively strengthening our approach.

We appreciate that you’ve taken the time to raise this. but also want to note that if you interpreted any of our responses as flippant today, that certainly wasn't our intention.
