Accepting and closing request after each page

Since yesterday every time I load a new page in any section on any thread I am getting the accept and close request, when I accept it makes no difference and appears again when I load another page, it’s driving me mad! Could you look into this please? Thank you.

The ‘we need your consent’ box?

This has started for me too this evening. It’s virtually unusable.

I am using safari on iPad.

Safari iPad for me, yes it's making the site unusable, will try not accepting and see if that stops it.

Didn't work for me either.
It doesn't happen using safari on my Android phone, only on my iPad.

Morning, everyone. Thanks for letting us know. We'll look into this now. It sounds like most of you are using Safari on an iPad. Is that the case for everyone?

Hello again,

It looks like we've had a few users with similar issues so we'll continue to look into that. In the meantime, there are a few bits of information we need and a few things you can do that might help with the problem:

First the info:

  1. As above, could you tell us what device you are using (Apple Phone/Tablet, Android phone/Tablet etc) and what browser (Safari / Chrome etc)?
  2. Could you tell us whether you are logged into the site or not when this happens.
  3. Also, what options you are selecting on the consent box ("Withdraw consent", "accept-all", "Save & Exit" or "Reject-all")?

Then these are a few things to try:

  1. If you have an adblocker installed, uninstalling it might help.
  2. Same for any other plugins (remove or pause).
  3. Try using an Incognito browser.
  4. As a last resort, clear cookies and cached images to see if this helps.

Safari ipad, I have “accepted and closed” plus “withdraw consent” I don’t have an ad blocker. So far in the past hour I have been using mumsnet and no message has appeared, hopefully it stays that way 🤞
