I find this advert really unsettling - it looks like an infantilised / vulnerable woman to me. So, I just wanted to flag this.

I didn't see your thread @42isthemeaning!

It's called 'To ask Mumsnet to get rid of...'
I can't link it on the app unfortunately.
I am glad I'm not the only one who finds this ad a bit disturbing. I'm not sure how it would sell TikTok though I guess it's got me talking about it, so...!

Smurhee · 24/12/2022 10:24

All the ads on this thread bar one are this ad. It's for TikTok which I rarely if ever watch, so I don't know why it comes up so often for me

I've got Ad blocker and don't see any of these "adverts" at all 👌

Smurhee · 24/12/2022 10:31

Can you get adblocker on your phone? This ad now appears in every single thread over and over again. It's putting me off Mumsnet. The image disturbs me

PikachusSmarterBrother · 24/12/2022 10:53

It's actually putting me off MN as well.

It's so creepy. It went away for a while for me but now it's back!

Puddington · 24/12/2022 11:02

I don't think it looks like ahegao tbh (which is a very distinct look!), it's just a quote-unquote "beautifying" tiktok filter (which teens and young people love) and she's looking upwards. I personally don't see her as looking vulnerable but I would definitely second the suggestion of adblock OP. I don't see any ads on the site at all with it.

42isthemeaning · 24/12/2022 11:04

It knows we're talking about it!
On my thread it appeared all the time.
I'm using the app.

AutumnCrow · 24/12/2022 11:20

Try uBlock Origin. I have it on my laptop and it makes for a much nicer experience.

Maybe because there is so much of it on here. Ever thought about that?
