From time to time the privacy settings acceptance request pops up when I am on MN - the ones where you can 'ok' all choices or go and choose 'on' or 'off' for various settings (e.g. cookies, device information along with a list of the companies who have access to this data). I went in to change some settings from the pop up but clicked the wrong thing and accidentally OK'd out of it.
I can't find where to go back in and change them - on 'My Mumsnet' then 'settings' I can see 'account details' but this only gives a link to the Privacy Policy or an option to delete my account.
The Privacy Policy says:
"The first time you visit Mumsnet you should see a pop-up along the bottom of the screen. You can choose to accept all cookies, by clicking ‘I Agree’, or you can manage your individual preferences by clicking ‘show purposes’.
At the bottom right-hand side of this page (The Privacy Policy) you should see a settings toggle which says ‘Privacy setting’. If you click on this, a pop-up should appear at the bottom of the screen. Here you can manage all your individual cookie preferences.
If you are a registered member of Mumsnet you can manage your cookie preferences at any time by clicking on ‘My Mumsnet’ and selecting ‘Settings’. Within your Mumsnet settings you should see a settings toggle which says ‘Privacy setting’. If you click on this, a pop-up should appear at the bottom of the screen. Here you can manage all your individual cookie preferences."
I can't see any toggle that says 'Privacy Setting' on 'my account' settings. There is a small blue tab right in the bottom right of my screen with a cog symbol and 'Privacy' but clicking on this does nothing, either on Windows desktop or Android Firefox mobile version of the website. I don't think I've actually tried to click on this bit before, so no idea if it's supposed to link to somewhere.
Either way, there seems to be no way to go in and amend cookie/privacy settings. Is this normal or is something on the blink? Can you only do it when you see the pop-up?
