Wow MNHQ, your day has been worse than mine. I was ready to post a whinge about 2 whiny preteens who have been driving me mad all day. I think I'll shut up.

I will change passwords etc, & I haven't seen the enforced log out, in case tech is interested.

You have been through a shitstorm today, and people are giving you flak about it.

You have my full support, I'm sure you are doing the best you can.

I'm guessing all the keyboard warriors out there haven't had to deal with a lot of the shit MNHQ have.

I'm not about to de reg or vanish. Mr Hacker can continue to put up with my queries on dog care, what temp to wash stuff on etc.. oh & he can FUCK OFF!!!

Can we have some moral support for MNHQ here please, women supporting each other, isn't that what MN is about?

OP posts:
WLmum · 19/08/2015 22:46

Absolutely!

chickindude · 19/08/2015 22:46

Agree with Op
Had to name change, but it's not so different.
A whole new me. In the grand scheme of life it's no big deal.

TPel · 19/08/2015 22:55

That really was a mumsnet golden moment! I remember it fondly.
The poor twatted spider.

BeatrixVBurgund · 19/08/2015 22:59

I agree. Jeez, even the Pentagon has been hacked and they have spies and everything.

We really need Kate Harper to nip into MNHQ and sort things out.

MrSlant · 19/08/2015 22:59

It is testimony to the success of MN that they have been attacked in this way. Gin and love and flowers to MN towers tonight, you provide amazing support and help to so many and comic relief all at the same time. I will be here supporting you. Couldn't have done the last few years without you.

RebeccaMumsnet · 19/08/2015 23:01

Cor blimey, this is much needed and nearly did set me off.
[thank] thank you all very much from all here at MNHQ and in the shed Wink

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 19/08/2015 23:36

Aw.

Tell you what, tomorrow I'll pop down to Kentish Town and do the red button/man the inbox/deal with the press and armed police and you can come to Cambridge and look after my two horrible delightful children Rebecca.

It will do me good to have a rest :)

barbecue · 19/08/2015 23:37

Cake Flowers and Brew to you all.

shadowfax07 · 19/08/2015 23:53

I've posted my support for MNHQ and Tech on the Tech thread, but have some Wine, Brew, Cake, Biscuit andFlowers again from me.

Been there, done that, really don't like the T-shirt...

Twunk · 19/08/2015 23:58

My DH has been dealing with a monster of a techy fuck up for 2 days at work. I wasn't as sympathetic as I should be because I pointed out MNHQ have been dealing with this for a week! Flowers and Wine to you all

HemanOrSheRa · 20/08/2015 00:03

I think that this attack - the extreme methods used - swatting, ripping off all those details - is a testimony as to how influential and powerful a resource mumsnet is. This nest of vipers is one of the few female friendly, supportive and influential resources on the Internet. And it changes women's lives for the better.
No wonder it makes the weak mysonsgnistics out there so afraid they try to shut it down. But hey, if you've been dumped by someone you thought loved you, abused by a relative, lost a loved one, had a shit time because you can't afford to pay the bills or going through a child custody case - and got support and advice here that helped you through it - having to change a password is not exactly a big deal.

My thoughts exactly, Feck

Twunk · 20/08/2015 00:08

Anyone having a bad day should watch this adorable video of a baby delighted to see a cat.

HawthornLantern · 20/08/2015 00:12

Many more eloquent posters on this thread, but I'd like to add to their voices. MN gives many of us a space, somewhere to talk and laugh and think and sometimes very very much more than that. It must have been a miserable time in MNHQ and I think they have handled unchartered waters very well indeed. Wishing all of you at MNHQ all the sleep, tea and gin and cake that they need and deserve. With thanks. Flowers

TendonQueen · 20/08/2015 00:18

Hear hear. You've been in an unwinnable situation where whatever you did was going to have fault found with it. Brew all round and keep on keeping on.

BoreOfWhabylon · 20/08/2015 00:36

Je suis Mumsnet!

GloGirl · 20/08/2015 08:03

I love Mumsnet but I will NOT twat a spider for it Angry

PigeonPie · 20/08/2015 08:10

Hear hear!

As my Grandfather would have said 'I should like to be associated with these comments!'

middlings · 20/08/2015 08:19

PigeonPie I'm stealing your grandfather's line. I like that!

MNHQ, you will get through this and frankly, the shouters and the know-it-alls should let you be. Good luck getting this sorted.

I'm not going anywhere.

Tapirbackrider · 20/08/2015 08:20

I've been watching the situation over the last few days, keeping up to date on the threads, and think it's pretty obvious that MN have done just about everything possible to keep things running as well as possible whilst dealing with the complete shite that has happened on and off line.

Bloody well done!

you're all on Santa's good list

insanityscatching · 20/08/2015 08:26

Couldn't agree more
Wine and Cake by the bucket load to MNHQ

WendyTorrance · 20/08/2015 08:33

Yes, Flowers for the folk at MNHQ.

Twunk that video is brilliant! I have bookmarked it for bad days in future!

ohmyeyebettymartin · 20/08/2015 09:03

Hear, hear! Wine all round.

liletsthepink · 20/08/2015 09:05

A few idiots and hackers won't get rid of so many strong and determined women. We will all stick together and support Mumsnet.

I have menopause hormones and I'm not afraid to use them!

Oblique27 · 20/08/2015 09:16

Hurray, some sanity at last (and a cat video Star).
