Adverts in mobile site

Have the adverts in the mobile site changed to being along the top and 'floating' as you scroll down the page? I thought they were changed to being distributed through the page, every 6 or so threads. I find it really annoying to have them at the top of the screen constantly.

It's slowing down the mobile site.

Bloody hell, big bright ads which change and flash again. Hello headaches!

Urgh, please get rid of the ads at the top. The ads between posts were unobtrusive (cynical me thinks too unobtrusive perhaps and people not clicking them...) Anyway, the ads at the top take up too much of the screen and make me nauseous.

Wow, can't believe this is still being debated! I've just been attacked by about three adverts at the same time (all the same ad) while trying to choose from the talk menu. Highly unpleasant. Why more changes and why's it taking so long to make a decision on this?

The top ad covers too much of the first post on the page.

Any update on this HQ? I am actively avoiding the mobile site now as it's awful. Having to MN on ipad in desktop site as ads giving me a headache.

Can you not fix the add so it Is at the top of the page rather than the screen? That way as you scroll the add disappears off the top of the screen.
I have huge issues with the add being stuck constantly at the top of screen as it causes rapid movement/flickering of my eyes which makes me feel nauseous and gives me a headache. I didn't have this issue when adds were between posts as if it was an annoying one I could scroll it up out of sight.

I understand you need the adds and are trying out new ways of displaying them to please the masses!
I think keeping them at the top but being able to scroll them out of sight shouldn't cause problems for most people as they won't be taking up people's screen size, less likely to be 'accidentally' clicked on lije when between adds(think that was an issue for some before) and won't annoy those like me who find the moving ones hard to deal with.

The moving ads are making my eyes go funny again, like how I get just before a migraine attack.

I thought we already hashed this out in the massive new mobile site thread about how bad these are for migraine/epilepsy sufferers?

Any update on this? I'm now getting ads through threads as well as the one at the top. I'm avoiding using the mobile site these days as it is just so annoying.

I'm the same every good. I wonder when someone will get back to us?

Just found this thread as the flashing ads are so annoying it's stopping me reading threads. Then I clicked on the sodding thing so I will have skewed their data. Grr!
