Breadmaker recommendations?

Does anyone have a breadmaker they like and would recommend.

I've never baked a loaf of bread in my life, but I thought it would be a good way to sneak some nutrition into DD's diet. Are they a lot of work? Easy to use? Are the expensive one's better or just have more gadgets that I'll probably never use?

wow - expat - how many in your family????

We usually go through a whole large loaf in one day (or even one evening) and there's me, DH, and 2 DS's - 20 months and nearly 5yrs.

Just three of us, QoQ.

Have you done the XL loaf?

duh - should read properly - I always make the largest loaf (which I guess must be XL ) and that lasts us one day.

But my boys eat for England, DH never quite believed me that they ate so much, at meal times AND wanted food practically every hour - until he's been working from home again - they're like hoovers!
