Anyone know when the Boden sale starts please? I'm sure I read somewhere it starts 01 July, but nothing on their wesbsite today. TIA.

Lucycat · 01/07/2005 20:37

Hasn't bothered to tell me at all! shame on him, and all the money I've just spent too......

aloha · 01/07/2005 20:54

do they have any dresses suitable for a boy aged about three?

cupcakes · 01/07/2005 20:57

this would probably be nice

Sorry if I sound a wee bit negative about the sale, but I am cheesed off with the Boden 'system' for ordering. I did an order on Friday when really I had too much to do but didn't want to miss out - consequently, one of the items I ordered was the wrong size which I discovered with their confirmation email. I emailed straight away to change the size. Apparently, you can't change anything once it is ordered, you have to wait for it to arrive and then send it back. Now, correct me if I am wrong, how much easier would it be for Boden just to sling in the size 12 I need rather than the 8 I stupidly ordered? Do I have to pay postage to send things back?

I expected better service from a company like Boden, but I suppose it serves me right for trying to do an order with dd on my lap!

here is the 'Boden Family'

teeavee · 06/07/2005 17:40

pacinofan, I was reimbursed the postage when I returned a sale item (and I live aborad) so it probably won't cost you anything

I actually found they were v. efficient, - they answered my mails promptly (though they had sent me the wrong item - hence me returning it)

teeavee · 06/07/2005 17:49

that article is not in the least bot flattering to johnnie (or his customers!)

i'm glad to say that I comply with none of his marketing criteria.....don't like the sound of JB though, he seems a bit of a norman tebbit type

dizzydo · 13/07/2005 10:36

Encouraged by the enthusiasm from you all for Boden I ordered several things from the sale. As I havent shopped with them before some of the sizes were wrong and I have a number of returns.

You guys probably know something I dont but whats the point of ordering on line and then having to go to the trouble of packing things up, going down to the postoffice registering and paying to return them. I just cant see its worth it. If I have to pay to return them I wont use them again. Do you think its worth me contacting them.

Tinker · 13/07/2005 10:52

I think you can usually contact your courier and they'll take them back for you. Everything I ordered has gone back as well - very disappointed in the stuff.

dizzydo · 13/07/2005 11:06

Thanks Tinker, how do I know who the courier is. Have phoned Boden and they said you had to pay postage on anything you return. I also note they wont give you a refund after seven days only a credit which is even more annoying. I just dont feel that they are very user friendly company.

Tinker · 13/07/2005 11:08

My courier left a card (didn't ring him though, still took it to PO) but in past have asked them to collect it and return it. They sometimes put a sticker on the package with their contact details on.
