dd will be 20mths when bean is born and we are have looked at this buggy online but can't seem to find any stockists in London where we can 'touch and trial' as such so was hoping that those of you with them might be able to help a little.
How is it to push when there is only one child in it ie. if dd walks a bit does the baby stay in the back?
What if just the older one is in the front?
What is it like on rough ground like cobbles?
Is it pretty resilient ie for travelling in and out of trains/buses/planes etc?
Thanks in advance...

PMSL! Kids huh! Why do we bother?!

hunkermunker · 30/06/2005 00:11

Oh dear, Lockets!

What do people think of the Cosatto pushchairs?

RosiePosie · 30/06/2005 08:19

That's the problem, the Duet Lite is such a brand new pushchair that I haven't come across anyone online or in real life who has tried it. It's not even on the Cosatto website yet. I would be interested to hear what people think of Cosatto pushchairs in general though - is it a good make?

MarsLady · 30/06/2005 17:24

I don't know if I like the look of it! It has 2 hoods/canopies. My Marco has one, but I will keep an eye out for it to see if I do like it or not!

Nemo1977 · 30/06/2005 17:29

ML the 2 hoods is what is putting me off even though it can be removed..lol
like the colour of the MS aswell...do u think it reallly matters if i use it from birth????? Ds always used to be in car seat of travel system and they dont lie flat....mmmmm

MarsLady · 30/06/2005 17:30

I'm a great believer in rolled up towels and wedging them in. Let me have a quick lookie at the back reclined. Hang on!........

MarsLady · 30/06/2005 17:33

sshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cos we'll be slaughtered. It's practically flat. I (personally) see no problem.

jessicasmummy · 30/06/2005 18:57

the ms lies almost flat doesnt it?!

Nemo1977 · 30/06/2005 18:59

thanks ML marco it will be then..ooo all excited but got ages till i can get it..pmsl

Chuffed · 01/07/2005 11:26

I think dh and I like the MS better but last night we emailed cosatto asking for the footprint, weight and future high street stockists so will let you know when we have a reply.

thanks Chuffed.

Well I haven't heard back from Cosatto yet which doesn't impress me hugely.
But I saw a Marco yesterday going to the doctors a lady was crossing the road and I thought she just had one of those largish single buggies with biggish wheels and as I passed her I saw there were two children in it and stopped and asked if it was a Marco...it was.
She said that she has found it generally good with a toddler in the front it doesn't swivel easily and you have to stand on that bit at the back to get it up the curb but overall those were her only two bugs.
It was really nice to see it - thanks for the offer though MarsLady.

You're welcome! Did you like it?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/07/2005 11:34

Dont want to hear negatives on here...... it has to be a "MARCO SKY APPRECIATION THREAD" or i will end up changing my mind!

Nemo1977 · 06/07/2005 11:36

pmsl
i am quite relieved aboutit not being to difficult with a toddler in the front and younger in the back

Chuffed · 06/07/2005 11:50

It does appear that it will be perfect for what we need. I think if we were going to be staying in London for the long term we would probably invest in an E3 to be honest as we do tons and tons of walking and not a lot of public transport and no car use... but for what we need it for, travelling and getting in and out of a car when we move to NZ it looks perfect.
No buggy is perfect they all have bugs of some kind.

now that's devotion!

BibiTwo · 11/07/2005 10:19

How easy is it to get the baby in the back of the MS though? It looks tricky to me! and is it light? I will need a double byuggy next year, a long way off I know, but I am looking into which ones are best now and this one has me intrigued!

Grin Grin Grin Grin i am extremely happy with this buggy. Grin Grin Grin Grin
luckily i am quite tall as the handles are pretty high but my partner who is about inch/2 inches shorter then me just turns the handles the other way round and he manages too. two problems so far (that could be down to rough handling on my part though) the rain cover has ripped at the seams and i cant seem to find a replacement and the straps that lock the buggy into its folded position the plastic bits snapped. but other then that its an amazing buggy. as the heaviest child would be in the front (as would be in any tandem) needs a bit of force to get it up kerbs onto busses etc.. but if u put your foot on the back wheen it becomes easier. getting to the brakes can be a bit tricky when the back seat is lying flat.oh and i think the shopping basket is too small.
think thats it

sorry didnt know it posted it twice!

Does anyone know where I can get some replacement front wheels for this buggy? I just got given a second hand one and it would be great for me but the front wheels are really shot. Don't want to have to buy a new one as I like to recycle!
