dd will be 20mths when bean is born and we are have looked at this buggy online but can't seem to find any stockists in London where we can 'touch and trial' as such so was hoping that those of you with them might be able to help a little.
How is it to push when there is only one child in it ie. if dd walks a bit does the baby stay in the back?
What if just the older one is in the front?
What is it like on rough ground like cobbles?
Is it pretty resilient ie for travelling in and out of trains/buses/planes etc?
Thanks in advance...

You called? lol

MarsLady · 29/06/2005 11:23

There are no stockists in London, currently. You can only get it from a few stockists and yes they are all online.

How is it to push when there is only one child in it ie. if dd walks a bit does the baby stay in the back? Very easy, light. Yes baby can stay in the back.

What if just the older one is in the front? Not that much difference. Just gave it a quick wheel about for you. The buggy is quite strong and doesn't fall over easily like an umbrella

What is it like on rough ground like cobbles? It is pretty much like a standard buggy that isn't a 3 wheeler jogger. I find it fine.

Is it pretty resilient ie for travelling in and out of trains/buses/planes etc? FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! The bus drivers don't shudder when they see you coming. Haven't done a plane with it but cos it's like an umbrella buggy it folds down really well.

I LOVE IT!!!! hth

Thanks MarsLady - just one more question it doesn't look all long and funny like those chicco ones in real life does it?

Nemo1977 · 29/06/2005 11:59

ML thanks for that can i just ask is it light when folded down etc? And does raincover cover both with room or is it a case of little legs getting wet at the front. Ds will just be 2 so hoping this is my ideal pram

MarsLady · 29/06/2005 12:03

Yes, light when folded down (though obviously not as light as an umbrella, but same size when folded down). Not at all like those tandems. I hate those tandems with a passion. They are awkward to push and very ugly to boot.

Most people are surprised to see two children in it. I've only had positive comments on it. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Did I tell you that I LOVE IT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nemo1977 · 29/06/2005 12:04

pmsl thanks Ml must admit do like look of it and dh thinks its quite smart too

Chuffed · 29/06/2005 12:08

Nemo we are feeling the same just really scary buying something without touching it and trying it out. I wish somebody stocked them in London

The newer version than mine, the L has even more leg room at the back. But I have to be honest, I don't know why people are worried. There's plenty of space. It's not as if the child is in a dancing competition that needs a whole floor.

MarsLady · 29/06/2005 12:10

Chuffed, I'm in North London. If you are near then you can come and have a look at mine if you like.

Chuffed · 29/06/2005 12:22

MarsLady may take you up on that offer, bean not due till Jan so tons of time. We are nearish Paddington.

why don't you CAT me and we'll sort something out. Champs has been and had a look. Maybe I should apply for commission lol

champs · 29/06/2005 13:14

lol marsy!!
chuffed, you can go to your local stockist and see if they normally stock it (many do without being an authorised dealer/stockist), if they do you can ask them to order you one as you want to try it out. If they dont normaly stock it they may still order you one. I did this after I saw MarsLady's one as I wanted dh to see it.

of course you wont get to meet the delectable lemon drizzle traybakes that MarsLady makes if you go to your stockist

MarsLady · 29/06/2005 13:16

PMSL!

RosiePosie · 29/06/2005 13:22

I found it a nightmare to push, to be honest. The handles are taller than most buggies. Has anyone else found this? I'm 5 4" and it was just an inch or two too tall for me, so I hated it. However, apart from that I think it would have been great. Has anyone seen the Cosatto Duet Lite? Looks almost identical, but I believe the handles are shorter.

MarsLady · 29/06/2005 13:26

The handles turn round so that if you are taller they are ideal. It is higher, but that's so that the babes can fit in. I'm 5' 5" and find it lovely. It's fine to push. It's not as easy as most 3 wheelers, but it's not a huge heavy thing. haven't seen the Cosatta. Can you do a link?

champs · 29/06/2005 13:27

heee heee!! well the traybake was scrummy and should be taken into account LOL
