and hold the baby cuddled up next you, not with legs dangling like usual slings, what are they called?

saw a few being used at NCT sale, and they looked lovely.

We had a hug-a-bub for ds from newborn and yes, you can tuck the pouch down over his feet so no dangling. It is lovely and comfy but not so good if you're going to need to take him in and out as it needs to be partially undone and retied each time to make sure it stays tight. So we've now got a Kelty Kangaroo as well. But I do like the hug-a-bub.

love coories still use mine regularly baba now nearly one. Great for popable carries no messing just stuff the baby in and off you go. I also have an ergo which is soooooo comfy for front and back carries I can carry her for hours (seriously) in it. Also can feed her in it still, she is sitting in it facing me but the fabric hides the exposed bits.

I have never used a hug a bug but they do get great reviews for smaller babies but can be a bit stretchy once they are more than about eight months I think.

Ring slings are great for feeding in and general carrying again very popable but very adjustable for feeding to get the position just right. The elllaroo lightly padded ring sling gets rave reviews. I haven't tried one myself - wish I had though in the feeding frenzy weeks.

Wraps - didymos, ellaroo etc are not something I have dabbled in yet (it's coming though!). There is more of a learning curve for these and they certainly look a lot less mainstream if that is a concern. As someone who live in a university town I could walk down the street in a toga and no one would bat an eyelid.

Baby bjorn type carriers(not wilkinets they are nice!) are awful in my opinion, I couldn't use mine after baba weighed 12 pounds.

Feeding in coorie btw, ergo is not the best unless you have a cardie or jacket on over the top!

misdee · 26/04/2005 19:14

anyone know where i can see the moby in diffferent positions? after dd3 wanting cuddling all day, i need my hands free at times, what with 2 other dd's to deal with.
