Should I buy an Organised Mum Life Book Diary?

I need a diary with plenty of space to write but also have spaces at front or back for addresses and phone numbers, it looks like the organised mum life book will do the job.
Also some space for note taking and shopping lists would be good

Can anyone tell me if it is any good? It certainly seems that way, judking by the threads I've seen, but are there any similiar products?

Also, who can give me their link so I can earn commission? I know Cod used to do it-can anyone link for me?

I have had one for two years and find the diary bit good. However, the address pages can't be removed and transferred from one year's diary to another, so you end up having to copy the information across, which gets a bit tedious ....

TheMoistWorldOfSquelchedBrains · 20/10/2008 12:30

I bought one but never used it much. Don't know why, just didn't get on with it

Squillions of scraps of paper with random scrawls scattered around my house/ handbag / office more my thing.

If you go to www.schoolfunds.co.uk and type in your child's school, you can buy through that website and raise funds for your child's school shopping ast loads of different places including organised mum.

I never used mine, but the calendars are brilliant.

Flier · 20/10/2008 12:41

COV-can't see orgabised mum on that site.

TheRedQueen-so you reckon a filofax would be better? that way you can transfer pages

kittywise, do you know why you didn't use yours?

mainly because I had all the info I needed on the calendar iyswim?

I thought I would use the diary when doing school runs to put in play dates etc, but i found I was able to remember them until I got home and just write them straight into the calendar.

I prefer to have something staring me in the face like the calendar( they're big things!), that way I remember things. If it's hidden away in my bag, then I'll just forget!

Depends on your tastes. I like the size of the Organised Mum diary (and I love its raspberry-coloured leather cover!), but I now use a separate thin address book (from Time Manager, but it tucks away nicely inside the OM diary cover) for addresses so that I can avoid having to copy stuff across.

kittywise · 20/10/2008 12:48

oops, don't know what happened there!

ComeOVeneer · 20/10/2008 12:50

Oh yues you are right. We do loads of shopping on that site but for the "organised mum" stuff we do a big group order through the school every year and fundraise that way.

Flier · 20/10/2008 13:10

my problem, kittywise, is that my memory is absolutely awful! I would use it to write in while out and about/at meetings and then copy onto my kitchen/family planner.

Why don't you just get one then flier?

Flier · 20/10/2008 13:42

well i might, kitty, but i wanted to order one using a link from someone on here, (so they get the commission).

I have a life book and it s big enough for me to use it for work and home. It is essential that I do this, so I'm sorted for child care etc for parents evenings etc.

Love the budgeting stuff too
