Anotherbook · 06/10/2008 21:17

We got this one from letterbox about 4 years ago.

Has withstood lots of playing and I like it because it is not too colourful so looks good.

Anotherbook · 07/10/2008 00:30

tower of doom looks big!

lemonlady ctrl c to copy the web address highlighted from the top of the relevant page you are looking at then ctrl v to paste it here with around it space word you want shown

MilaMae · 07/10/2008 13:44

Actually space is an issue. Was wondering if a Playmobil one would be better as we could break it up but want them to love it iykwim.

Anybody seen any others that aren't too big or can be dismantled or your dc loved I could put up with a beast if it gets played with-a lot!!!!!!!

The ELC other one does look nice, any more recommendations???

[http://www.ardentoys.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=279] was thinking about this one for my DS1's 6th birthday as it packs away but the price is a shocker!

rolledhedgehog · 07/10/2008 17:40

I will try that again...

Dd1 loves playmobil ,she's 4.7 but i would say the elc castle will be more sturdy, playmobil has alot of little peices which tend to get lost.

elmoandella · 07/10/2008 17:44

i wouldn't recommend playmobil. you'll end up losing most of it. and then it'll be useless by xmas. i like the tower of doom. use 20% off code and you get free dragons and warriors just now

MilaMae · 07/10/2008 18:17

Swoon at the Ardentoys one, it's gorgeous and it packs away-price not!!!!!!!!!

lemonlady · 07/10/2008 20:18

another book, thanks for that link thing.

was just testing to see if it worked.

Twelvelegs · 07/10/2008 20:20

Schleich, it has lovely knights that you can build a collection too. Not too clever to pack away (we have one very large box) but it will withstand any amount of jumping and standing on.

Twelvelegs · 07/10/2008 20:23

castle and other knights stuff like a jousting fence etc www.spmodels.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Knights_Buildings_354.html

Twelvelegs · 07/10/2008 20:23

www.spmodels.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Knights_Buildings_354.html and again

cath81 · 07/10/2008 20:25

hello just wondering if you are anywhere near gloucester. i have a fisher price one with some toy knights. would sell for a fiver! nothing wrong with it. just that its too grown up for ds 14 months. the little people one would be better suited to him.

moominsmummy · 07/10/2008 20:32

we made one from a square cardboard box - cut some holes for the windows and drawbridge - made the portcullis go up and down with string. DS had loads of fun painting it grey.

fruitful · 07/10/2008 20:38

Or you could buy one that someone else made from a cardboard box - www.cardboardtoys.com/acatalog/Brown_Cardboard_Toy_Castle_Fortress.html

fruitful · 07/10/2008 20:40

Oh my goodness. A castle that they can play inside.

MilaMae · 08/10/2008 14:11

Love the cardboard ones but can't help thinking one drink spillage and you've got v expensive paper mache

Still none the wiser,am loathe to let them choose one as I can guarantee it would be the most expensive or not available!!!!!!
