Whats the general consensus on pink buggys?

Pink for a girl and blue for a boy, does this work on a pushchair, opinions please???

Pink is nice in most places, but not on pushchairs.

I wasnt considering one for my dd as personally i think they look like dolls buggies- especially the ones with white wheels. But they seem to be everywhere so thought i'd gage opinions on them

i dont do the pink for girls blue for boys thing. the only reason my DD has anything pink is because she has chosen it as her favourite colourwe had a navy blue pram when she was newborn and a lilac one for lightness/ convenience and i only chose that as i like the colour
TBH i wouldnt choose something just because some people say you are meant to choose because you like it if you like the pink pram get it if not then dont

I have a magenta buggy for dd.My excuse is I got it for a tenner in a charity shop-it looked unused (MAYBE COS IT WAS PINK??[SHOCK]),the raincover had never been unfolded.It is a mamas and papas one and would've been a lot more from a normal shop.It serves its purpose,despite its naffness!

magenta is deep reddish pink, yes? sound ok. I meant the proper 'barbie' pink ones.
Some actually are not so naff such as bugaboo cameleon and silver cross buggy ( mainly black with pink trim) i dont mind a girl buggy as long as it doesnt look naff or resemble a dolls pram

I only have boys but hate oink buggies. Als ohate the general blue for boy and pink for girl idea. I try to buy everything in different colours if possible, such as drinking cups, toys etc.

We got a pink Maclaren on eBay. It's just a colour. It must be nice to be able to afford to care.

Don't like pink buggies for some reason. TBh prefer black of all colours for pushchairs anyway.

don't like pink buggies - am also a mum of boys so never likely to buy one anyway - but is it really necessary to buy a co-ordinating buggy?

My mothercare jive is red and grey. It was bought four years ago as a holiday buggy for my son and now we use it for our daughter. When i bought it all buggies were unisex. i think mothercare did a few unisex colurways in this buggy. Now though they just do a boy and girl model??? Bit of a rip off really if you have a second child of a different sex

The pink on my son's buggy is quite pale, it's mostly grey, but i don't care. It's a conversation-starter. People say "you look like a boy who has an older sister" and things like that. I don't mind. I used to put bibs with butterflies on him too, when he was younger. I wouldn't do it now he's nearly 3.

When I use my 6 yr old pink and grey maclaren and all of you lot pass me on the street thinking nononononoono I am thinking "imagine spending 600 quid on a bugabaloogaboo, muppets!"

Of course, I know there is a middle ground between a 600 pound buggy and a pink knackered buggy for a boy!
