<applauds wildly> i needed help with an Ikea chair <keeps clapping> and Serenity (who works there) offered to buy me one and post it to me! <wolf whistles> HOW COOL IS SHE? And how cool is MN? <jumps up and down>

seriously, this blooming kids' chair has been out of stock in Scotland for months, and i was looking for alternatives on here...

up pops the wonderful Serenity (who Will Not provide me with her address so that i can send a wee something of thank you) to offer to check stock availability where she works, she explains what the issue is and then IN HER OWN TIME goes back into work ON HER DAY OFF to get it, package it up and lug it to the Post Office.

that is freaking unbelievably kind of her, is it not?

aren't MNers amazing?!

Appropriate, I thought.

Shizaru · 05/02/2008 23:29

I was going to be Iwazaru, but, I fear it may have been hypocritical.....

TigerFeet · 06/02/2008 09:19

Hurrah for Serenity and MN

MrsJohnCusack · 06/02/2008 09:43

WE DON'T EVEN HAVE BLARDY IKEA HERE

and I miss it

TheHonEnid · 06/02/2008 09:44

its nice

TigerFeet · 06/02/2008 09:55

that there is somewhere on the planet that doesn't have Ikea. I thought it was like McDonalds & Coca-Cola. Blardy everywhere.

serenity · 06/02/2008 09:56

You're welcome.
Well, you threatened me with something embarrassing on MN! It was no big deal, honestly. I'd already promised DD an IKEA lunch - downside of Nursery is we don't get to go for breakfast anymore.
(Wii hand starting to hurt -want PC back ) Go to IKEA more now I work there due to joy of staff discount.......

AuntyThesis · 06/02/2008 09:57

serenity is well cool

filthymindedvixen · 06/02/2008 13:10

I lost ds in Ikea once (nightmare, nightmare) The staff were very good and helpful etc but it still took horrendously long heart-stopping time to find him - he'd climbed into bunk bed with star canopy and gone to sleep

Fimbo · 06/02/2008 13:18

Waves to anyone going to Ikea Lakeside on Sunday

TigerFeet · 06/02/2008 13:49

FMV I had to wrestle dd out of an Ikea bed once - "But Mummy I want to go to sleeeeeeep" - she was even cuddling an Ikea teddy bear she'd found on a display (she has an identical one at home).

Lots of amused glances from passers by

Shizaru · 06/02/2008 18:46

Really onebat???? North or south of the circ?

FrannyandZooey · 06/02/2008 18:51
