Hello!

We've noticed that this thread is quite old now, and some of the product recommendations are a little out of date. We've spent weeks speaking to parents and testing the top-performing pushchairs on the market to find the best double buggy for toddler and newborn.

Hope this helps! Flowers

Think you're asking a lot! Ive never seen double buggies which have rear and front facing seats, but maybe i've just never noticed them! I had a mothercare one and i loved it. It was a side by side one and only had 2 sets of wheels at the front, my friend had 3 sets of wheels on hers and it is so hard to push! Choose carefully as its very different pushing it once dc get older.

We have bought a Jane Twin Two and I am amazed at how light it is.
Its even lighter than my single pushchair!

But both seats are forward facing.

Theres the first wheels city wheels but I'm not sure on how heavy it is.

Phil & Teds E3. My toddler loved it as the the toddler seat sits up quite high so she could be really nosey! Also, the newborn lies flat underneath so you can see baby all the time. Same size as a single 3 wheeler so you can still fit in the shops and it is really light and easy to push. I love mine!!

The new sport version also comes with reclining second seat which is a bonus.

I HAD A P&T E3 WHEN MY DS WAS BORN AND DIDNT GET ON WITH IT, FOUND IT QUITE AWQUARD, WOULD PREFER A SIDE BY SIDE

the only double i know of that faces both ways is the First Wheels City Twin - mega £££ but would have loved one.

I would have quite liked a Jane Powertwin (with rebel carseat) but again mega £££ and not worth it when my DD2 is 2.1yrs and wont be in the buggy long.

We have settled for a 2nd hand maclaren side by side umbrella fold, seats lie virtually flat and it was ok to push.

Please avoid M&P Twin Aria - nightmare for weight distribution unless you have a very light toddler!

The P&T I like the look of, but for me, baby is hidden away and has a view of the other seat!

ive also tried the powertwin and didnt like that either lol

first wheels - seats independantly face either way- very good buggy but have to buy a carrycot for a newborn pushes up ££!!

The new icandy pear- again independant seats but serious megabucks needed!

For walking you can't beat the Bertini twin steerable but if you drive it may not be the best move!

jane powertwin has been good for us but is starting to show signs of abuse after 6 months of use and 2 flights. still can recommend it tho.

good luck.

Hated my double buggy (mothercare as was the only one that folded up small enough to fit in nearly non-existant boot of car). As soon as ds was big enough (about 2.3), I got him a buggy board which he loved and was much more convenient for me.
