I know this is far too early to think about these sort of things.

Harrods have started an online booking service for Father Christmas this year to try and avoid long queues.
If anyone else wants to go it might be worth booking now before popular dates get full. I have heard its good but friends who have gone in the past have had to queue for ages which has
put me off.

Look at websales.omniticket.com/hod/index.cfm?action=FLEX,

Then the other people in your time slot have less than the specified 1/2 hour to wait

moodlumthehoodlum · 21/09/2007 17:15

Mine kept on processing for ever but the tickets arrived but
a) I don't know where they are
b) I booked it on the last but one day of term. As a mummy new to the whole concept of school terms (dd only started at nursery this term) I have a feeling that this is not a good day to go to London to see Father Christmas..

mustrunmore · 21/09/2007 17:15

Did it 26th Aug, came yesterday and today.

HappyFeet06 · 21/09/2007 17:21

I booked tickets a couple of weeks ago and they arrived this week. Sooo looking forward to it as every year we say we will take the kids to London over Xmas and so this year we have something to look forward to. I booked two different time slots on different days and have only recieved one set of tickets for one of the days I booked.

eleanorsmum · 24/09/2007 12:43

ok so been trying to book all weekend and got really cross so rang the party booking line which has the current recorded message 'there are no tickets left for visits before 4.30pm on any weekend date in december'

so we've now booked for 6.30pm on a saturday which will be the excting end to a lovely day shopping in london and seeing the lights! Just me, DD and my mum! can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!1just a tad kiddy about xmas

I'm excited, I'm excited!! So are the kiddies obviously!!!

We go on December 9th at 4pm. Planning on doing a little bit of shopping but not too much with 3 kiddies in tow! It will be nice to look in Harrods at Xmas though as I plan to do it every year and never do.

GrapefruitMoon · 23/10/2007 08:37

We've booked to go at the end of November but haven't had any tickets yet (but iirc it did say the tickets would come about two weeks beforehand).

Those of you that have got your tickets already - please reassure me that you are going earlier than us??

HappyFeet06 · 23/10/2007 11:46

Um, as stated I go on December 9th and we have had our tickets for a while now. Can you give them a ring. I am sure there was a number on the website. x

GrapefruitMoon · 23/10/2007 13:21

Just phoned the number I had and the hadn't sent out the tickets yet but are going to send them now!

Fimbo · 23/10/2007 13:27

Can you buy the tickets over the phone? As I don't have the correct software to buy them on line from the website?

GrapefruitMoon · 23/10/2007 13:31

Can't you download the software if you don't already have it? The number I used was 020 78938877

Fimbo · 23/10/2007 13:39

Thank you. I tried to download and my computer went all funny, but then I am a bit techno phobe, so it was probably me.

Wolfgirl · 24/10/2007 09:57
