All the Mario games are good. Have a look to see what's current. The last one we got was Mario vs Donkey Kong and although ds lost it after about 2 weeks, he said it was good!

Tamum · 12/07/2007 17:47

Yes to Mario Cart and Tetris, and Animal Crossing (it might look girly but mine are both addicted to it, even 12 year old ds). Lego Star Wars also v. good apparently.

cornsilk · 12/07/2007 17:48

Yes we've got lego star wars on PS2. It's really cute!

MadEyeMisdee · 12/07/2007 17:50

42 games in one is a good one. i keep playing escape and am stuck on the last level.

Lizzer · 12/07/2007 18:09

Another mario vote, kart or world.

However, HEED MY ADVICE get yourself onto ebay or simliar and buy a hard plastic or metal protective case for the outside, that stays in place when he's playing on it, completely hugging the unit. The reason being dd knocked her 6 week old one off the bed ( ie not very high at all!) and the case smashed on the corner. We bought and replaced it with another one (v fiddly for dp to do) and same thing happened (only it was me who dropped it - oops) a few weeks later. We now have a £2.50 hard plastic case round it and so far so good but if you take that off it would fall to bits.

Just a warning, your ds may be completely careful, thoughtful and un-accident prone unlike us lot

My ds aged 9 says not to get Rayman but the Spyro games are great. Mario is good and when he first got it he enjoyed his nintendogs, teaching the dogs to do tricks and going to shows, winning money and going shopping etc. If you earn enough you can buy a new house!
At the moment he's playing Spectrobes alot but I think it is abit hard going for younger ones.

nooka · 12/07/2007 19:35

ds recomends Sonic Rush and Pokemon Mystery Dungeons.

SIL just rang to suggest she gets him brain training but surely that is for adults?

OP posts:
Hulababy · 12/07/2007 19:51

I'd say brain training is for older teens and adults.
