Am I a sad git to think that this looks rather fabulous?

I envisage myself lying in it with a book while also "supervising" sandpit activities

but it is rather grannyish

whaddya think?

Or the wood pigeons would poo on them, like they poo on everyting else in my garden!

MegaLegs · 05/06/2007 13:32

I know what you mean PPH - I know I'd forget to cover it and it would get wet, also we are surrounded by cows and therefore flies and therefore anything let in the garden gets covered in fly spots after a day.

(Oh yeah and I don't have £2,799 to spend on a garedn swing)

Tutter · 05/06/2007 13:33

pph if you get it then you should blow the rest of your holiday budget on throwing a party to show it off while it's still pristine

PrincessPeaHead · 05/06/2007 13:33

yes that one is lovely
no idea where you'd hire them from though
why not order 10 for the day before and when they arrive say "no, no, I only ordered one! please come and get them on monday"

ha ha

ps my party invite appears to have been lost in the post. please resend

A good friend of mine is married to an Adrian btw. He's very nice.

Tutter · 05/06/2007 13:35

the caterers are on the case atm trying to find somewhere that hires such a thing out

foxinsocks · 05/06/2007 13:35

the wood looks nice and sturdy

would worry about the white material getting wrecked though

Tutter · 05/06/2007 13:35

i'm sure pph has a Lady What Does who can fashion spare covers from eau de nil type fabrics

PrincessPeaHead · 05/06/2007 13:36

Now this is topical. I've been thinking about garden furniture recently. Old woman alert - I've hinted to DH that a recliner from John Lewis would make a lovely present for a 42 year old with a summer birthday. (And I bought him a luxury compost bin for his birthday. We are officically now old gimmers)

PPH - I saw a fantastic thing at the weekend which was a woven willow structure - like a giant cat's basket, enclosed, with a lovely round seat in it - fantastic!

ChippyMinton · 05/06/2007 14:52

i have been drooling over this catalogue all week - delighted to see the prices are on the website (not). They have shocked me out of my daydreams!
I have long hankered after one of these (and obviously the provencal villa to attach it to)

Anchovy · 05/06/2007 14:53

No Cod, this one

Anchovy · 05/06/2007 14:55

Bugger: this one
