I don't want to do it! But its waterproof (although showerproof would do), plain (no logos - bliss) but brightly coloured and fleece-lined! It could just be the perfect walking to school coat! Can anyone recommend another (pref. on-line) company where I can get a similar coat?

Can't help I'm afraid I've ordered the pink duffle coat for dd. In my defence we had the same last year and it was fab! Go for it

Pam70 · 12/08/2004 14:42

Have you tried Verbaudet ? If you do a search on some of the links here, you should be able to find some dicount codes for it too.

enid · 12/08/2004 14:43

beety, nowhere near a gap and not coming up to Bath/Bristol for ages...

Oh, it's lovely . I very nearly bought the fleece lined anorak the other day but then went into M&S and bought a coat with zip out fleece liner instead (which cost more ). My dd is only 2 though so no school runs for me yet. BTW if you click on the MN link to the Boden site it gives 10% off and free P&P so it won't be as much as you first thought . I'm not helping am I?

oliveoil · 12/08/2004 14:47

it's lovely, go and buy it. Gap would be at least 30 pound anyway I reckon.

disclaimer am 39 weeks pregnant and highly hormonal and fed up so any advice given could be dodgy and taken at your credit cards own risk.

motherinferior · 12/08/2004 14:54

I personally am going to buy the suede pink baseball boots...for me. Am considering the lilac ballet cardie for moi as well.

Ahem.

Pagan · 12/08/2004 14:56

Don't do it! Try Ebay. You're mad!!!!

Pagan · 12/08/2004 15:03

Just done a search and there is a lovely red coat from Trespass for sale there for 99p.

here

No one has bid on it and the auction ends today.

marialuisa · 12/08/2004 15:04

ok-from the picture it doesn't look any different to the kind they sell in our local outdoorsy shop-for about £18.99

But I do not worship at the altar of Boden (despite having a bad shopping habit where DD is concerned )...

JanH · 12/08/2004 15:04

Jako-o ??? No fleece but is jersey-lined. £20.

Tinker · 12/08/2004 15:08

erm, I don't really like it that much

clairabelle · 12/08/2004 15:08

enid how old is your dd, I've got last years pink duffle if that's any good?

marialuisa · 12/08/2004 15:10

oh and agree with Beetroot, Gymboree will have their winter coats in soon and they are MUCH nicer. Sorry Enid, it's just not £46 of coat, as far as I can see.

Blu · 12/08/2004 15:19

Enid: it is expensive, but I can see why you like it - and coats like that are pretty hard to find. If it's exactly what you're looking for, it's exactly what you're looking for! And to my mind showerproof is pointless; if it's raining properley, you need waterproof!

honeybunny · 12/08/2004 15:31

Don't forget about your 10% discount thru mumsnet and I think they're worth it. Bought one each for ds1 + 2 last year, the ones you admired in navy!, a size too big for them at the time, and still plenty of room this year, plus extra mileage for ds2 out of ds1's old coat. Now that is worthwhile. They wash well, havent aged a bit and were used daily last winter. A bargain!!

And dd(when she arrives) will get to use them too!

enid · 12/08/2004 18:37

I like it because its plain .

We live down a muddy farm track and will have a fifteen or so minute walk to dd's school in September. Its quite important to get something well made and tough as it will no doubt get muddy and need washing/sponging frequently.

I am trying to justify it to myself!! Also it will be ideal for wearing when she goes horseriding I would have thought.

Sigh...as Blu says, it is quite perfect for our 'lifestyle'...

And I have got another dd - so that kind of makes it half price...doesn't it ?

JanH have just checked that link and like it - looks like a good site too, thanks!
