If you are looking for something really special to give to your dh or a really different portrait of your kids/pets, I suggest you try This

If you look in the gallery section you will see the picture of my dog, Ruby, at the bottom, which I had done for dh's birthday. It really is unusual and close up looks quite abstract, yet from a distance it looks just like a photo (it's acrylic on canvas). Diane's kids pictures are really amazing, I'm going to get one done of dd soon.

Just thought it made a lovely pressie and as you all have kids...

Twiglett, thanks! I'm embarrassed to admit I'm too cheap for that at the moment, but it looks great and would make a fantastic present for my ILs. I've bookmarked it as a Christmas present for them (they complain about not having enough pictures of the boys).

I've done 8x10s of the pop icon pictures and am going to frame them in simple (ie cheap) thin black frames and arrange them on the wall. Or that's the plan.... dunno when or if it will be implemented.

CD - I think the painting of your dog is gorgeous. I'm thinking what I could get done for dh's birthday, this is a great idea. Thanks...
