If you are looking for something really special to give to your dh or a really different portrait of your kids/pets, I suggest you try This
If you look in the gallery section you will see the picture of my dog, Ruby, at the bottom, which I had done for dh's birthday. It really is unusual and close up looks quite abstract, yet from a distance it looks just like a photo (it's acrylic on canvas). Diane's kids pictures are really amazing, I'm going to get one done of dd soon.
Just thought it made a lovely pressie and as you all have kids...

Thought I might as well ask this here: where can you get a digital image blown up (without losing resolution) to a poster size? I'd like to make some pseudo movie posters for my son's room. Ideally it'd be a place that ships to or is in the US.
The image I'm working with at the moment is here , in case you're interested (or, better yet, have any suggestions for catchy phrases). Please disregard the t-shirt note to my MIL!
The movie will be "Brave Boy" and the tag line will be something along the lines of "Who needs superpowers when you're so darn brave?". That will be on the main poster. The one up will be something to do with Brave Boy leaping into action. (BB is my son's superhero identity).
Anyway, if anyone knows of a place that's not too expensive, please let me know!
