Urban. Do you still have her rear-facing at 2?

misdee · 05/05/2007 21:15

yes. but she has started to put the brake on now

CarGirl · 05/05/2007 21:17

You've got me worried again misdee - Is the bug much harder to push than a good urban 3 wheeler? DD is an average 20 months? Don't tel me I should have got a MB after all - though I need reversable due to sunlight problem on school run!

misdee · 05/05/2007 21:20

the mountain buggy is fab, folds in one piece, but the bugaboo is better suspension, rearfacing, comes with carry cot etc etc.

if you arent going hill walkign and through forests etc then bugaboo is fine honestly. just keep an eye on little hands and the brake which is on the handle bar

accessorizewithbabysick · 05/05/2007 21:22

Nah, it's me that was saying bugs are hard to push (once my ds got to 2 or so). I find the mb an absolute dream, esp now I've got a pre-schooler sprinting along on his bike next to me (I can push the mb one-handed, had real trouble with the frog). But lots of people have no problem & love their bugs from start to finish, so don't worry!

You know ds1 never figured out the brake and he was in it until he was 3!
x-posting again...

CarGirl · 05/05/2007 21:29

well dd hates pushchairs full stop! It would be nice to get down to 2 or 3 pushchairs!!! We walk direct into the sun year around on the school run for at least 20 mins and having a reversible handle would solve this - ie can get 20 mins of her screaming complaint about it and she doesn't like the shade a babe either! Five days a week twice a day it gets a bit much......

accessorizewithbabysick · 05/05/2007 21:47

Ds1 hated shade-a-babe too, I'm going to sell mine and buy a protect-a-bub instead. Would your dd live with something like that? Ought to bear in mind tho that pushing the bug with the big wheels at the front is pretty hard going! Easier to get her out & move the seat, that's what I used to do (once he got too heavy to do it with him in).

CarGirl · 05/05/2007 21:54

Protect a bub not enough during low sun of winter months. Come September will no longer have dd3 hitching a ride so pushing anything will be easy in comparison (dd3 is heavy for her age - groan)

Sunglasses?

CarGirl · 05/05/2007 22:07

They'd probably get flung across the road in temper like everything else when sat in a pushchair (or car seat!)

accessorizewithbabysick · 05/05/2007 22:12

Ooh, what about babybanz , she might not be able to get them off?

CarGirl · 05/05/2007 22:29

will consider them! She is the child that screams the place down if you try go near her hair though.......I've resorted to washing her hair every bath time to try and expose her to this little fact of life...
