We are quite good today. Taking DS swimming when baby pool opens at 10am. Are you parents still here? How old are your girls (your profile says you have no children..., think it does that by default if you don't fill in their ages on the separate page thingy)?

mumto3girls · 01/05/2007 08:12

oh..i wondered about that on the profile...they are 14, 12 and dd3 is 2 on thursday!!!

No, my prents have gone home now, they had a nice weekend here though.

I'd love to take dd swimming but greenpeace would probably be called if i tried to get in the pool..

ScottishMummy · 01/05/2007 08:32

fryalot · 01/05/2007 08:46

morning

Gorgeous day up here - think I may change my plans and just go for a nice walk

mumto3girls · 01/05/2007 08:52

is that with the zapp Squonk?

fryalot · 01/05/2007 08:53

erm.... let me think about it.....

GOD YES!!!

LittleEgg · 01/05/2007 08:57

Ah mum, don't be silly, you should just go swimming anyway. So much fun! No-one cares anyway, and especially when you have little ones with you. I can't even swim, well not more than a few metres, but DS really enjoys it. We normally do lessons on a Tuesday morning but the pool is off limits due to some bacteria or something so we are just heading to the leisure centre today.

Looks like a lovely day here, but a bit chilly at the mo.

DS is plane-spotting out of the window .

LL - you around today? What's that nasty Connie been saying to you?

mumto3girls · 01/05/2007 09:08

i went to M & S yesterday to have a bra fitting ( never had one since stopping bf'ing dd3) and I was soooooooo horrified by standing in the trinny and susannah style changing room with mirrors everywhere!!!

fryalot · 01/05/2007 09:11

It was so clear yesterday, that we saw planes! I grew up under the flight path of Manchester airport, so it's weird not to see them all the time, and here we are so far in the middle of nowhere, if there are absolutely no clouds whatsoever, you can see a dot with a vapour trail behind it.

(that's not including the raf who practise round here - you don't see them, because by the time you've heard them and looked up, they've gone!)

fryalot · 01/05/2007 09:12

aaah, mum, I have never had a bra fitting for that precise reason! I just guess

My last bra fitting was also distressing, because i have NOTHING left. I used to be quite proud of what I had . Those mirrors are very scary. You see cellulite you never knew existed .

LittleEgg · 01/05/2007 09:17

I would never be able to hold down a job now I have discovered mumsnet.

It was quite funny seeing the normally docile rabbit getting nasty - must be careful not to rub your fur up the wrong way...

mumto3girls · 01/05/2007 09:19

My cellulite has cellulite!!!
The tops of my arms looked like the surface of the moon and I have a fat back!!! I always thought if i held my tummy in I'd be okay, but NO!!! It has snuck round the back too!!!!

I am going on holiday in 3 weeks and will not be able to wear any summer clothes..sigh.

LittleEgg · 01/05/2007 09:19

Really must stop neglecting DS - thought he was sitting at front door waiting impatiently to go out. Then went over to him and discovered he had found a (still wrapped) tampon and had it in his mouth! He was so excited .
