thought that looked cheap if anyone is looking for a zapp

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 28/04/2007 11:52

I have some fab bright funky flowers fleece that I'm going to make a liner/buggy snuggle out of. It'll "go" well with the orange and will cover most of it up!

LittleEgg · 28/04/2007 14:49

Yes I think I am obsessed, but I want the BUZZ. I really want the new Buzz.

I think orange flash handles with pacific blue covers would be lovely .

Soupy, once you stick your, hmm, I went to your profile page to see what gender your DC is that will be riding in your Zapp, and find that you are, in fact, a 15-year-old schoolboy...

I was GOING to say, once you stick your DC in the orange Zapp, it is much less scarily orange anyway, with or without your flowery fleecey thing.

Schoolboy??? On mumsnet?????????

SoupDragon · 28/04/2007 15:17

It'll be DD, 15 month old BabyDragon. And no, sticking her in it doesn't make it any less orange because I borrowed an orange one in Feb and you could stil see it from a mile away!

LittleEgg · 28/04/2007 15:19

Hmmm, no comment on the schoolboy thing?

Of course, BabyDragon. Recognise her name now from other threads. I have a MiniEgg.

Maybe if you fatten BabyDragon up a bit she will cover more of the orange?

SoupDragon · 28/04/2007 15:31

If I could get her to eat, I would

katzg · 28/04/2007 15:57

the buggysnuggles fit really well in the zapps, i have a bright pink one in my red zapp although i would like tutquoise covers for it

LittleEgg · 28/04/2007 16:03

Hmm yes I have a lovely red buggy snuggle, will look smashing with my orange zapp ...

fryalot · 28/04/2007 19:01

Well, I took dd1 out with the quinny today for the first time, she pushed, so I had chance to look at ds in it. He holds on to the round bits at the side, and he looks like he's flying a spaceship.

He has a huge grin on his face, and he's dead laid back. Dd1 was amazed at all the admiring looks she got, and offered to donate pocket money to cover the cost, as long as I promise not to send it back (as if!)

So all in all, tis a huge success chez squonk

horsemadgal · 28/04/2007 19:43

The rainbow stripe BuggySnuggle looks fab in the orange Zapp.
I miss mine, wish I had ordered another.
M x

bonkerz · 28/04/2007 19:45

ok am drunk and very sad now i dont have an orange zapp! Obviously i dont have a life and desparately need to get one!!

fryalot · 28/04/2007 19:53

Is everyone forgetting that it's summer though? We won't need to worry about what colour snuggles and cosytoes' go with our zapps until September or October at least!!!!

mumto3girls · 28/04/2007 20:20

Bonkerz if I was you I would complain bitterly to Boots about the fact that thaey promised you one then said they had no stock then one day later had stock again...never know they might give you an amazing discount then you could sell the blue one...

LittleEgg · 28/04/2007 22:14

OK I am back after a evening out with DH, which was lovely. Bonkerz, I am very sorry you are upset about your zapp, I am caught between LOVING mine and being a tad embarrassed by the orangeness. I do think the design is fab though, and the fact that DS sits in it like a little king on a throne is very sweet. Squonk, I was ing at the thought of you wandering round checking out your DS in his while DD1 pushed. It is so nice to see the little ones from afar once in a while so you can truly appreciate the cuteness.

Bonkerz, I think Mum is right, complain all you can to Boots. You have nothing to lose and might get something out of them.

Just wondering how well DS's mottled corned-beef (inherited from mummy) legs will look in shorts, while in orange zapp.

SlightlyMadSuperhero · 28/04/2007 22:57

Can't be bothered to read thread - too tored [exhausted]. Squonk have you told DP/DH?

Has everyone else told DP/DH yet or are there others hiding it still?

LittleEgg · 29/04/2007 07:30

Goodness no my DH has no idea. I did ask him if he liked the orange ones but that's as far as we've got.

fryalot · 29/04/2007 15:30

nope. Haven't told him. My plan (if he ever notices it) is just to tell him that we discussed it! I told him all about it! I can't believe he doesn't remember! God, doesn't he ever listen to anything I say! then I'll strop off and wait for him to make me a cup of tea.

Went to car boot and market today. If one of you had the other orange zapp, "hello"

Also saw pink one, dark blue one, and I think the blue one that Bonkerz has got, but it didn't look new enough to have been you, so I didn't ask them if they were bonkerz, they might have thought I was bonkers!

bonkerz · 29/04/2007 15:34

I have an orange Zapp!!!!!
Mnaged to talk my friend into swapping with me! PHEW feel so much happier now! DD is away till tomorrow night so will have to wait and see how she looks in it!!

fryalot · 29/04/2007 15:36

WEll done!!!!!

It's great.

Wandering around today, twas great exchanging knowing smiles with the other zapp owners. Felt a bit sorry for the girl with the Buzz, as she wasn't really part of our "set" And us with the orange ones, we were so superior to the pink and blue ones.

mumto3girls · 29/04/2007 15:48

Oh no..can you not be usperior to me please..I'm a lowly mauve owner..

mumto3girls · 29/04/2007 15:49

superior even..
can I be an honorary member of the 'orange zapp' gang?

misdee · 29/04/2007 15:52

you are all mad.

[misdee walks off with her bargain mothercare jive]

SoupDragon · 29/04/2007 15:54

I@d love a mauve one...

fryalot · 29/04/2007 15:56

orange and mauve

ImGoingToSulkIfICantHaveWabbit · 29/04/2007 16:01

I can't believe how big this thread has become!

My sister has gone off, proudly bearing her orange Zapp (and unfeasibly large bump - she is HHHHHHHHHHUGE!). I still love my turquiosey one, but am now still jealous and feel it is a bit dull... especially now it's summer and the rainbow buggy snuggle is off.

LittleEgg · 29/04/2007 17:28

Ooooooooooh so it's LL disguised as Wabbit. I saw the Wabbit thing on name auction thread and was a bit slow at working it all out.

Bonkerz - HOORAY! That's fab. Your friend probably thought you were mad being so desperate for orange.

Mum - I think the gang is just for people who are slightly strange in their Zapp obsessions, so you can still play with us despite the mauve . To be honest, you are probably the most elite member as I have NEVER seen a mauve one anywhere. Can we have a pic?
