Ditto Fio Tefal with red spot.

Cloudhopper · 16/03/2007 19:59

Never tried a Meyer one, but I have got a Le Creuset one which cost the earth and yes, the non-stick coating was no better than the cheapies. I will never buy another expensive one again.

PestoMonster · 16/03/2007 19:59

I swear by Circulon.

AllBuggiedOut · 16/03/2007 20:00

I would definitely fork out for this one as have the small saucepan and it's brilliant.

Washersaurus · 16/03/2007 20:00

Analon pans are the BEST Cod I promise - they can go in the dishwasher and nothing sticks to them...honestly worth the money - we upgraded our entire pot and pan collection with these

Smurfgirl · 16/03/2007 20:00

My tefal stuff non stick has lasted much better than my tesco non stick pans.

AllBuggiedOut · 16/03/2007 20:00

Circulon crap in my experience.

CODalmighty · 16/03/2007 20:01

Grin
Washersaurus · 16/03/2007 20:35

Meyer analon ones are dishwasher safe - circulon ones aren't (we used to have these ones). We upgraded all our kitchen items to dishwasher safe only

mamijacacalys · 16/03/2007 20:59

Agree with Fio.

Tefal pans on offer at Woolies or Asda from time to time, about £10-15 for a 28 or 30cm if I remember correctly. Bought one last year after old Tefal one lost it's non-stick, but to be fair it had lasted about 7 yrs

Goes in dishwasher no probs.

Skribble · 16/03/2007 21:50

Doesn't matter Dh will wreck it anyway by using a metal fork when making omlettes.

pollypeachum · 16/03/2007 21:59

100% agree with skribble. have a fantastic pan, cost nearly £100 but should have been worth every penny. its lovely i love it. husband made a sodding omlette in it (not well) and scraped it out with a knife. can hardly bear to look at it now.

florenceuk · 16/03/2007 22:38

SKK are great - I think I was the one that recommended one. I don't put it in the dishwasher (don't really need to), but it has gone in and come out unscathed. No scratch marks even with heavy handed DH after five years. Even Lakeland sell them now! SKK . I have a heavier one though - more expensive. Definitely recommend over Circulon.

CODalmighty · 17/03/2007 06:55

dh saw htis and thinks i am mad
whast wrong wih a tesco one he asked
well they only last fro 2 years i said

I bought a lovely heavy duty set of frying pans (big and little one) and 3 cooking pots of varying sizes around the time when I turned 40. Thought it was finally time for some 'grown up' kitchen equipment instead of the cheapy/disposable/studenty stuff I'd been buying/discarding for years.

My next mission is to replace my cutlery - bought it cheap when I got my first (rented) flat after college. I think I've 'earned' some decent stuff now, and it's on my list.
