Am looking to get a new pushchair for ds who is just 6 months.
Atm we have an old Quinny 3XL freestyle that we used for dd but it is rather heavy and a bit battered.
We've also been using a Graco thing but that really is battered. The wheel fell off yesterday

Sooooo, I had my eye on a Quinny Zapp but to my horror, they dont have a shopping basket and I would quite like a tray on it for when he's a bit bigger although its not a must.
I also dont want anything too big or heavy and it must fit a seat to go on it too.

Does anyone have any good recommendations?

has anyone had to use a buggy board? are they any good?

NbgsYellowFeathers · 22/02/2007 11:49

I've got a seat to go which is a buggy board with an extra bit above for them to sit on.
Its great. My dd loves it.

Well it arrived this morning and its fantastic!

We could have bought it when ds was born because it lays flat and all you need to do is hold a brake type handle. In fact you can have it at any angle you want.
It looks lovely facing back aswell and the foot muff is soooo cosy.

FAF, deffo get one!!!

Glad u like it

Does the buggy board seat fit?

Have u been for a walk to try it out yet?

NbgsYellowFeathers · 23/02/2007 11:47

lol, have just been out to walk the dog and took ds with me in it.
Its great!

Haven't tried the buggy board yet, so that'll be the next thing to do.
I hope it does fit or dh will have a right old tantrum over it.

Hurray - glad you like it 'in the flesh'!

If you get a mo do let me know how wide the wheel base is at the back as I haven't heard from Kiddicare yet!

NbgsYellowFeathers · 23/02/2007 14:18

Right the width from the back wheels is 61cm or 24 inches.

Ds is currently fast asleep in it so its obviously a hit

Thanks v much for the measurements - damn, it's about the same width as the Buzz so no point in changing. I really like the Buzz, it's just that when I'm shopping (which is mostly what I use the pram for) it's a bit wide for the very narrow aisles and doorways in the shops here and I keep crunching into the displays - oh well!
