Following on from an earlier thread 'ELC-discount codes???' I thought it'll be good to share with everyone the codes i happen to have for various on-line shopping sites. I will also include the ones from the above mentioned thread.

La Redoute - £25 off + free P&P, no min. order value, CODE 1991

ELC - 10% off entire order, valid until 30 June 2004, CODE 24M

Vertbaudet - 20% off entire order, valid until 30 Sept 2004, CODE 6853

Ocado - £15 off first oreder over £75, CODE VOU7588427

Sainsbury's to You - £10 off first online order. I'm not using Sainsb. at present, but in the past I used similar codes for first orders with them although it was not my first time and they did work so hopefully taht still works. I have 2 different codes here:
D8RM-5K6E-NDVJ valid until 2 Aug 2004
24FA-DJ7R-E5VC valid until 30 Aug 2004

I oreded 49 quids worth of stuff and it mentioned the dicount but said it would be on the invoice. The total amount was still 49

nutcracker · 26/06/2004 15:45

Oh maybe it will still work then.
I will wait until i know before i use the other 2 codes.

Branster · 26/06/2004 15:55

every time in the past when i used discount codes with redoute or vertbaudet, the e-mail confirms the order with the order code, but the total is without the discount. but when they charged just before dispatching the order, they deduct the discount so i never had problems. however i never used passed on codes so i'm a bit uneasy at the moment whether it'll work or not. i phoned this morning to delete my first (wrong) order and was told internet orders take 24 h to get through their system but i was told to phone tomorrow and they'll delete my first order without any problems. we'll wait and see i think before using the other codes, eh?!
lindaUK thanks for your reply. it's interesting that your e-mail shows the final price taking into account the discount. well done though! happy shopping!

in any case, if they charge the full amount i'll send some stuff back, which i only ordered because it would have been free of charge as it were so it's not something essential which i neded/wanted to buy.

nutcracker, listen to this :
i phone la redoute this morning at 8.30 to cancel the first oredr i did on the internet on sunday evening (ordered the wrong colour so i placed a second ored using the same 1991 code with the corect items). i was told that both orders have gone through already and i can return what i didn't want and that i was only charged about £0.75 for each order!!! Well, i keep the other stuff at this price! So obviously it worked! Placed another order last night for £30 off.

OP posts:
mummysurfer · 27/06/2004 15:41

thanks anyway branster

nutcracker · 27/06/2004 16:00

Thanks Branster, was getting very worried as i hadn't had an email off them or anything, and the amount still hadn't appeared on my bank statement.

Would go and use the other two codes now but i better wait until i've moved.

Branster · 27/06/2004 16:03

how come you didn't get a confirmation e-mail?? did you type in the wrong e-mail address? Why not phone them and ask if your order has been received?then you can relax...

busybee123 · 27/06/2004 16:06

lindaUK · 27/06/2004 19:43

Hi everyone , just letting you all know I have used all three code's with La Redoute now and awaiting my order (1 received ), just love this shopping and paying very little for it, so a BIG thank you for letting us know about the codes and any more would be a treat.

mummysurfer · 27/06/2004 20:57

busybee thank you, i've already ordered today but will make a note for next time. ta

Flip · 27/06/2004 21:31

I've just ordered something using the 1991 code. Needed a bit of retail therapy. I could cry I've had such a crap day!

Flip · 27/06/2004 22:01

I am crying now, crap day has got worse. The La Redoute website keeps giving me unknown errors. So fed up!!!

Hayls · 27/06/2004 22:10

Flip, I feel exactly the same. I keep getting unkown errors and it empties my basket [sad

Hayls · 27/06/2004 22:10
Sad
Branster · 27/06/2004 22:15

Flip and Hayls sorry to hear you're having a bad day today. It didn't happen the last couple of times, but in the past I often had problems with the La Redoute (& Verbaudet) website. It starts well, then it all slows down completely, can't view back pages, basket not always with all items in it and in the end it all crashes. It was OK the other day though. Try later and have a glass of wine to cheer you up. Hope you'll have a better day tomorrow.

Flip · 27/06/2004 22:16

Well I've just phoned up and had to speak to a real person. I can't remember the last time that happened whilst shopping.

It was dead easy and I spent £29.40 and all I have to pay is £4.40 which is pretty cool and he put it onto my customer account which he setup there and then.

Tel 0870 0500455 option 1

Good luck Hayls

Branster · 27/06/2004 22:19

so a good end to a bad day, eh?!

OP posts:
Hayls · 27/06/2004 22:20

Ok about to try again. Dh says it serves me right for trying to scam them
