Sainsbury's To You

If you've never sed them before, there here are 3 vouchers for money off:
£10 off first shop K2BM-3ANY-CK2X
£5 of 2nd shop ET58-MVG4-CKMA
£5 off 3rd shop V652-8YFN-9NZL

Personally, I won't be using them again as I think the website is crp

I couldn't find a comprehensive list of special offers, nor were the offers apparent from the product listings. Tescos may be cr
p at the delivery/substitution but but their website is good. I think my next shop will be from Ocado to give them a try!

Oh don't get me bl**dy started! The first (and last) time I shopped at Sainsbury's on line, the shopping never even appeared. They substituted most of the items I really needed, then the man went onto the van for ages, came back and said that he was sorry but he'd given our shopping to someone else . Not fun bearing in mind it was the Thursday before easter. Never again!

I really hope someone has better luck than I did with them.

Sainsbury's to You is the worst ever on-line grocery service! I'll never use them again in my life. Last time I've used them I received an incomplete order, no explanation from the driver, i had to spend an hour on the phone only to be told they've left the rest back at the store and they won't be able to re-deliver until next day. Not even an @i'm sorry madam', from anyone I've spoken to. They did bring the rest of the stuff the next day and some of the product were expired by then, they didn't even bother to pick up fresh ones from the shelves. they're useless and i'll never have any dealings with them again. tesco, on the other hand, I think they're brilliant. Good substitutions, delivery on time, very accomodating and helpful. Plus, good website layout.

Again c**p - 4 hours after the allocated 2 hour spot, half the shopping was missing - delivered next day ). They did give me a £10 voucher but I'm back to Ocado - polite, always punctual, few subsitutes and easy to navigate website.

I don't usually have too much trouble with Sainsbury's on line.

Some of the substitutes are different.(e.g Washing up liquid for Fabric conditioner). but most of the time they are fine.

CD Ocado don't deliver in my area.

When I eventually move I will try Asda.

I have never heard of Ocado - are they a southerners supermarket?

I used Ocado for the first time last week and it was BRILLIANT. I've often shopped in store, and their internet shopping service is the same high standard.

The problem is, I do think Waitrose is a LOT more expensive than most other supermarkets and I just don't think I can justify continuing to shop with them, especially with just one wage coming in.

Maybe as a treat, say every 3months cos I don't think they can be beaten on quality.

I have used both Sainsburys and Tesco's (live in the oxford area) and I have to say both have had a couple of tiny problems but apart from that it's been pretty good. Very convenient as we don't have a car. We moved from Sainsburys to Tesco's simply because of the price and special offers. We save around £50 a week if we shop at Tesco's as compared to Sainsburys.
If anyone has any tesco voucher codes (not for first shop) then I would really appreciate it if you could post them.

it's waitrose on-line Lisa78. i agree twogorgeousboys, they are more expensive than the other ones. i usually do tesco on-line and they always have some good offers and their prices are really good. i just did a comparison (item by item) and waitrose is more expensive on most items, but some of them are slightly cheaper than tesco. i'll deffinetly give them a try on my next on-line shop since everyone has only good things to say about ocado. i go to the waitrose shop sometimes and have to agree the quality is fantastic (a bit like shopping for food in M&S - now, that is exensive!)

When my aunt comes to stay (she's from Liverpool) she tells me off for shopping with Waitrose! I have to go to Tesco or Asda when she stays as I can't cope with the ear bending about how expensive it is. I must admit though, she has made me think more carefully about what I'm spending on grocery shopping.

It's none of her business unless she's paying for it twogorgeousboys!
My parents seem to think we "waste" money using Ocado/Waitrose but I really believe you get what you pay for with food shopping. Waitrose is competitive if you are buying organic produce and dairy products, in any case. But I think the on-time delivery, the traceable suppliers of meat and veg, the lower mark-up on Fairtrade goods and the excellent customer service when things go even slightly wrong are all worth economising for in other areas. We're pretty skint at the moment but are just eating more veg/pasta based meals and cutting down on bought puddings, alcohol and meat. Most westerners' diets are way too protein-rich anyway (or so I tell dh when I have substituted root vegetables and dhal for lamb pasanda )
Shopping online does cut down those sneaky impulse purchases too. We've shaved about 25% off our bills since switching to Ocado.
Sainsburys and Tescos in our area are both rubbish anyway. We don't have much of a choice!

Sainsbury's in our area are total crap - couldn't provide alternative to french stick ( that sounds rude ) or coffee - like they don't have a full aisle to f**kin choose from AND they sent me 14 courgettes and 6 aubergines !!!!! We use Tesco who have been great - can even get delivered same day if you order early enough.

I got £40 worth of Nectar points from Sainsbury's for the utterly crap service I got from them. I used it as a treat following the birth of ds but it was just a nightmare. I tired to make an amendment to my order within the alloted time slot, couldn't, rang them, they said it was done but nothing turned up. Then I got a letter saying they were crediting me with £20 worth of points because they had a problem with my local store 'closing off' orders before they should, to give them more time to make them up.

The points never arrived either! I wrote again and was told it was out of their control as they don't own Nectar, merely 'use' them. Then I got £40 worth as extra compensation.

Went to the store to use them though

What a fantastic service from Sainsbury's. My first order and they're going to be 1/2 to 1 hour late. Excellent!

Well Soupy, I've just had another excellent substitution from Tescos Purley: Having ordered 2 packs of nappies they substitute a smaller baby size. What makes them think that my baby would have shrunk? At least with bigger ones he would grow into them!

Still could be worse: if it was Elmer's End Tesco then my substition would have been floor cleaner...

I only recently discovered that Nectar vouchers have an expiry date!!! (It's on the back. The old blue Sainsburys vouchers also had an expiry date but it was on the front. Why do they need an expiry date at all, please? I would leave the points on my card but a) I'm afraid if I lost my card someone else would have them and b) they would ask me at EVERY SINGLE VISIT did I want to knock it off my shopping - dunno why that bugs me but it does!)

I thus have 18 vouchers that expired in January. I wrote, fairly indignantly, to Nectar (by snail mail - there is no email addy) to complain and actually got a fairly intelligent response - if I send them the expired vouchers they will replace them.

However I cc'd the letter to Sainsburys and the girl who replied must have been on work experience. She said

a) I should have written to Nectar, not Sainsburys!!!
b) I mentioned "that there is no email address for Sainsbury's", so she said I should ring or write!!!
c) I forget what it was but there was a c)!!!

She also suggested that if I wasn't satisfied I should write to her boss. What do you think, girls?

Soupy,

I have had a phone call from sainsvury to say that they are running a bou 2 HOURS late.

Thank goodnees we have not got anything planned for tonight.

I don't minf them arriving late as long as they let me know. They usually arrive early if anything, so I don't mind the odd late delivery
