Where can you buy reasonably price girls clothes that aren't styled for teenagers?

Should add FGS on the end of that.

Just been through the Next directory - YUK

M&S - YUK

BHS (Tammy Girl) - YUK

Everything is cut for skinny teenagers not normal-sized 7 year olds who have a little tummy. Also hate the "whatever" attitude clothing.

DD is getting disheartened trying on clothes that don't do up and she is by no means overweight just doesn't have a teenage figure. She's going to get a complex at this rate.

Where are the normal pretty clothes?

Maybe I'll go and have another look in Gap then. I gave up on them after I ended up having to return all the summer clothes I bought in there. They do great socks though!

agree on socks

maybe the older range doesn't ahve the elastic stuff, she is only 4 and have just realised that KBear is after 7 year olds range

Merrily - I had/have skinny kids and clothes given to us from Mothercare/Woolworths and the Disney store were always too big. So they might fit yours!

On the other hand, if you want to dress skinny kids, go French - ie. Vertbaudet, Petit Bateau etc.

I always found H and M to be fab. SIL now gets things for the dds from there to send to us.

When we came over to the UK this summer I found the Matalan stores unbelievably reasonable for price and choice. My dd is nearly 7 and I got quite a few things for her there - are the Matalan stores nation wide or just up north? The other place I always take bag fulls back to Germany from is Woolworths Lady bird stuff.

Update on Zara - was in there this morning and they had quite a lot of nice things - got dd skinny cords in a lovely deep red and a chenille green jumper - very Christmassy! Plenty of stuff that was not pink or not too teenagy! They had lots of nice skirts too. Not especially cheap but not as expensive as Boden/ Monsoon/Gap!
