How many pairs of knickers do you own?

This is actually in the context of, how many pairs of knickers do you reckon a 2.5-3.5yo girl needs? If anyone wants to answer that question, too.

So I just did a count, and I reckon I have about 20 pairs of knix for me, but presumably I don't need that many for DD?

What are period knickers? Obv used when on period but why special ones?

Don't want to spoil nice ones with potential leakage and, personally, I use towels, not tampons, so need big knicks for good adhesion of pad. More info than you wanted, praps?

Funny story - friend's mother bought some knicks in the M&S sale, then when the friend went round her Mum said "ooh, I've got something to show you..I bought some knickers in M&S and half of them are missing, I'm going to take them back."

Yes, they were thongs. Size 20!

think that's ok Rhubarb, as long as you febreze them overnight

Report

One time I opened a Nappysack and it gave me a coughing fit -- not the dirty nappy inside, the stench of the bag itself. I wonder if that Febreeze stuff would do the same.

I have loads of pairs of pants. Mainly thongs from M&S or La Senza, aslo the obligatory period pants and, much to dh's amusment about 10 pairs of 'spider pants'. So called spider pants cause I sleep naked but have to wear pants (full proper belly whacking ones)to stop spiders crawling into my doo-dah!

Thongs have also slipped to bottom of stacker box, since the onset of piles after the "worst stitching" that my doctor had seen for years!!

Big comfy pants now at top of box

All thongs and sets apart from odd pair of big pants as I call them.

DD 10 pairs

Northener LOL, I always wear knickers in bed but in my case its because I want some dignity if a burgalar comes into room or there was fire etc - stupid or what.

I have to wear 'big pants' these days .... comfort is much more important to me now that old age is setting in. I think I've got about a dozen 'decent' pairs and half a dozen 'period' pairs - 'decent' pairs get relegated to 'period' pairs every now and then when I feel like buying new 'decent' pairs.
dd (3 and 2 days) has about 15 pairs but refuses to wear any that aren't pink (which is most of them!)

God knows ! I own about 30 nice pairs and 10 period pairs.

I would prob buy 14 or 15 pairs of pants for DD was she is still quite young and the last thing you need is an accident and no clean kecks !

WSM · 27/02/2004 10:56

I wear Tampax over night (I know, it's naughty) but I still have to wear period pants in case of leaks. No point in ruining a perfectly nice pair of £15 pants when you can just whack your comfy 5 or a fiver M&S jobbies on !

No spider fears here....

wot a funny thread

I have at least 40 pairs of thongs and 5 pairs of big bridget jones knicks for the monthly stuff.

I wear tampax at night and an ST as I have a phobia with leakage.
I use thong liners they look like little kites.

I have lots of pairs too small to wear, cos with being immobile most of last year I've gone up from 14 to 16.

Struggled to keep wearing them, but gave in about 3 weeks ago and bought 2 five-packs of 16's at M&S.

Won't throw away my old ones yet tho', want to try to get back into them. Still got about 6 pairs of jeans/cords I can't wear too. Right now I live in joggers, I have 1 pair of 16 jeans and a pair of elastic waist veloury type black trousers, soo depressing right now.

Oh, sorry, ds has 10 pairs, bought in a pack from M&S. I can't do with less, cos getting washing organised isn't my thing
