Would love to get one but sadly in the south east we have a hose pipe ban so are not allowed to fill pools up!

charliecat · 03/07/2006 13:23

yep, was just gonna say, hmm would love to but cant waste the water.

spidermama · 03/07/2006 13:23

That looks great.
I don't think I'd be allowed one down in the SE because of the hosepipe ban.

poisson · 03/07/2006 13:24

oh no
sorry
( evil cackle)

mykidsmum · 03/07/2006 13:25

yep you are spidermam odly enough, was a thread about it yesterday

flutterbee · 03/07/2006 13:28

I'm also in the south east

And on the down side, my mum has moved into a house where they used to have one of these in the garden.
Because it is so big you are not supposed to keep filling it everyday so to keep it hygenic you have to add chemicals these then escape on to the grass and into the earth and as a result my Mums beautiful garden is now dying, nothing will grow down one side at all.

I think I would rather keep moaning.

poisson · 03/07/2006 13:29

oh for gos sake
we leave ours upf ro a week or so and hten refill

mykidsmum · 03/07/2006 13:33

I have chemicals, and my garden is okay, we've had one for a few years now. Hopefully shouldn't have to clean it out for the rest of the summer, yay, tis a horrible slimey job!

flutterbee · 03/07/2006 13:33

Oh fgs to you too, I was just pointing out the facts I think you need to go and jump into that pool and cool down.

Fimbo · 03/07/2006 13:37

JL is sold out. Poisson person do you have one of those hideous trampolines as well?

TheBlonde · 03/07/2006 13:38

will have to make do with the 2 quid paddling pool from sainsburys

intergalacticwalrus · 03/07/2006 13:39

Can't even fit a fecking washing up bowl in our poxy garden.

melsy · 03/07/2006 13:40

On the sites product info its says hosepipe ban doesnt include pools. Id love one right now , but its sold out and also a bit on the ££££ side with all me baby stuff to buy, anywere else do a similar one for less??

poisson · 03/07/2006 13:40

lunavix · 03/07/2006 13:43

OP posts:
intergalacticwalrus · 03/07/2006 13:44

Heat making you narky is it?

TheBlonde · 03/07/2006 13:45

argos have got lots of similar ones

Fimbo · 03/07/2006 13:47

Can we come round yours for a pool party? I had to make do with a paddle in the paddling pool. God I wish I could go to Cambridge right now they have an open area lido - fab!.

geekgrrl · 03/07/2006 13:47

we've got one like that, too (from Tchibo) and agree, it's fab.
Took 12 hours to fill up but I bought the chemicals from Argos and so we won't need to refill - just top it up a little bit occasionally. I reckon it needs less water overall than a paddling pool because of the pump and chemicals.

womblingalong · 03/07/2006 13:48

If you read the blurb, it says the hosepipe ban doesn't include filling pools up with a hosepipe. Does anyone know if this is true?

Why would a fish need to float on a lilo?

SoupDragon · 03/07/2006 13:57

I think filling up a pool that size is against the spirit of the hosepipe ban even if technically you're allowed. We've got one in the shed but haven't got it out this year.
