... or, once you've fiddled with it 4 times does it never get touched again ?

TIA.

Definitely get the Maxi Cosi - it is safer as well as easily reclinable:

Thanks but that report doesn't address the new Recaro though, only the older one I think...

We have the Britax Isofix. The recline is supereasy to use, but we have it permanently reclined anyway.

Read somewhere???? maybe in the instructions for the seat? that it is safer reclined? You're meant to fit it in the upright position, and then recline it. Could be completely making that up though!

LIZS · 16/06/2006 19:07

Used it reclined when they were smaller and then more upright as they got older and slept less in the car and for longer journeys so they could see out. Rarely went from one to the other unless it was a evening/night trip. It is rather like anything you buy , from washing machine to pushchair, you find whatever suits you best, out of the many possibiltities which intitially "sold" it to you, and rarely deviate!

I use recline whenever they fall asleep. Makes me feel better as I think DD looks much more comfortable! :)

Dior · 16/06/2006 19:08

We used recline a lot.

Gem13 · 16/06/2006 19:24

Yes all the time. Upright when we set off, the moment they've nodded off, they get reclined.

Pixiefish · 16/06/2006 19:40

If she ever falls asleep I recline her chair

CarolinaMoose · 16/06/2006 19:43

yes, I use it a lot and can do it one-handed while driving Grin

we have a Mamas and Papas Pro-tec which is v good - no isofix in my P-reg Civic Sad

Tutter · 16/06/2006 19:47

yes (britax first class si) and it's easy to use - can be done whilst driving (but maybe not recommended!).

Enid · 17/06/2006 09:20

even if you get the recaro it will be so knackered by the time they are four you'll want a new one

also your dd/ds (? sorry) will be clamouring for a booster seat at 5 like their mates so you'll end up getting rid of it anyway

hub2dee · 18/06/2006 17:34

Good point Enid. The psychology of carseats, hey...

yes - every time me and dh swap driving

tegan · 18/06/2006 19:24

We always recline when dd goes to sleep or is getting frustrated at being in the car, recline and give her a book to look at.

misdee · 18/06/2006 19:25

i found out todat that all rear seats in our tino recline,. so now all 3 girls are slightly reclined Grin
