my cousin was a nurse who went to live in the States and is now an ICU nurse over there. She said it's such a relief to be able to get hold of soap relatively easily

Ambulance crews have to travel with Securicor guards as they are known to carry a few pillows on board. Sod the class A's! They get mugged for those plastic coated/vomit repellent lovelies every time.

SparklyGothKat · 16/04/2006 21:57

and makes your head sweat, because of that plastic stuff..

bubble99 · 16/04/2006 21:57

Spacey. Do you remember doing hospital transfers? The most important thing was that you brought the pillows back. Patient comfortable?? Yeah. Whatever.

Pillows returned??? Totally vital. Grin

How about a sign on the bathroom door that says "toilet facilities for patients use only. Visitors will find the nearest toilet over the hill, down the lane and around the back of the crack den, about a 5 mile round trip". I seem to remember that one from when I had to stay overnight on the childrens ward with dd but no parents were allowed to use the toilets!

BTW why alcohol gel not antibac gel? What is the difference? I want to get some before going into hospital on Fri. Thanks

misdee · 17/04/2006 08:17

just because alohol gel is what they use in the hospital.
