Ha bloody ha. Yes, sorry that it's not working, but I figured after Halloween might do?

tamum · 22/10/2003 18:17

They do them here too, and they're cheaper!

I love playdough - dss are 4 and 6, and I thought they were past that stage. But last week we made playdough and they played with it for about two hours solid! We have got a messy room with a tiled floor though

For twin ds' who will be 2 just 4 days after Christmas (yes, I have very bad timing but they came early!)

So far all I have bought are a set of musical instruments from Argos to be individually wrapped and no doubt fought over on Christmas morning. I bought big paper sacks last year for their big presents but this year will give them socks too (though will need to find decent size socks!)

Last year they were puzzled as to why they had to go through all this wrapping to get to the toy and why couldn't they touch that big tree in the corner (Oh please mummy, it has lights and everything!)

Great ideas, love the snake thingies, ds will be getting one of those. I also collect (steal) mini bottles of shampoo etc from hotels and say they're special bathtime treats. If I'm being really creative I make coookies in the shape of his initial and put a bag of those in. I do wrap all the stuff, usually in pages torn from magazines as they can be really pretty - I like the fun of having fake moustaches (or whatever) wrapped in glossy pages advertising posh aftershave or whatever.

I insist dh gets me a stocking (I made us all special ones a couple of years ago so that he can't forget). I'm a lipsalve addict and last year he bought every kind of lipsalve in Boots, v. useful. May drop a hint for miniature brandy this year.
