For my 15 month old dd I have got:

*one of those snow storm things
a tin tingaling box (basically a little decorated tin box with a handle which you wind up to get music)
*a minature wooden soldier dressed in beefeater costume which is designed to come apart in small pieces and then be put back together again
*a furry mouse with a rip pull cord which moves for a few seconds after pulling
*one of those wooden toys which you press from underneath, and the animal on top sort of collapses and jiggles
*an inflatable reindeer

Got most of these from the ELC catalogue and letterbox catalogue if anyone is interested

So far I have planned to go in the loft and get out a few of DH's old farm animals.....

Is that really tight? No it always starts off that way but then escalates. And I always include a satsuma, packet of raisins and choc. coins.

Bron,

I've got the 4 pack of megabloc people too - but I hadn't thought to individually wrap them. Will now though!

handlemecarefully · 22/10/2003 11:29

P.S. I wish someone would do a Christmas stocking for me. Adults should have a bit of fun too. Infact, I am going to warn my dh that I expect a Christmas stocking this year (knowing my luck he'll probably misconstrue, and present me with some fishnets!)

HMC - My MIL does a stocking for all the 'big' kids, it's my fave part! Me and my SIL always get exactly the same and we love it. WE usually get:

Terries Choc orange
Lip balm/gloss
nail varnish
bubble bath
some miraculous hair product (she's a hair dresser)
fridge magnet
satsuma
20p

Bozza · 22/10/2003 11:40

Thats lovely Northerner. Do people wrap things to go in stockings? I just stuff it all in. Mind you, only every done one so not v. experienced.

Have also remembered that I have bought DS a set of little glasses (well I assume that they're plastic) from Ikea to go in his. And will presumably find a suitably small book.

sugarplumfairy · 22/10/2003 11:56

Is that an elephant stocking you're using Jenie?

jodee · 22/10/2003 12:35

So where's the best place to get the stocking from then? (Don't suggest making one, am useless at that sort of thing ...)
