WhizzzBangWhizzz · 07/11/2005 21:59

Go on Bladee - tell them what you have at the mo or has he filled it in ?

NomDePlume · 07/11/2005 22:01

Modern, neutral, short piled carpet. Needs cleaning again

QueenEagle · 07/11/2005 22:03

Oak coloured laminate flooring. Lovely to look at and to clean/sweep but agree it can be a tad cold so we all wear slippers!

Aero · 07/11/2005 22:05

Original floorboards (varnished) with a big rug in the middle.

Shazzler · 07/11/2005 22:08

Carpet

Just had a cream carpet put down. DD1 is 13 months and dd2 is due in Jan/Feb 06 - friends look at me in disbelief like I have forgotten I have child(ren). More of an issue is dp with coffee/red wine! I do have stain remover.

skinnycow · 07/11/2005 22:09

What else but carpet? Cannot stand wood or laminate in 'living' areas - not cosy enough. Bleurgh!

Bladee · 07/11/2005 22:13

ha! found it! Yes I have had a big hole in the floor of my lounge!!!!!! dh going mad!!! long story but it will look good soon. He's now replaced the 330 parquet tiles.... now just got to get the conservatory floor the same height as the lounge - plus fill in the HUGE hole he's put in the wall where the patio doors used to be!!!

anyone want to live here? I don't!

Gobbledigook · 07/11/2005 22:13

hotmama - we just get ours cleaned every 6 months or so - just had it done and it looks fab!

If I had hard flooring I'd just cover it in an enormous rug so may as well have carpet!

WhizzzBangWhizzz · 07/11/2005 22:18

We have wood & I think its OK - laminate I agree is cold without a rug

Blondeinlondon · 07/11/2005 22:19

Creaky floorboards, two cream rugs

Blossomhill · 07/11/2005 22:20

The original floorboards sanded and varnished with a cream rug over the top!

lucycinco · 07/11/2005 22:27

When we lived in England we had original floorboards. Here in Spain we have marble and its blooming freezing. You know when summers over when you get out of bed and nearly have a heart attack. Dd has slipped on it many times and if you drop something, you've had it!

kid · 07/11/2005 22:28

We have beech laminated flooring throughout the whole house (lino in bathroom and toilet) I don't find it cold, just very dusty!

skinnycow · 07/11/2005 22:34

Karndean or Amtico arent cold or noisy!

Anteater · 07/11/2005 22:35
