Got a few bits from there last night.

I'm normally only buy from M&S, H&M or Next as I know their clothes last and wash well but I got a £10 off £20 shop discount code so I thought it may as well be spent. Also it' says you get a free kids computer thing with the Alphabet on (not sure how good that will be!)

So for £22.96 I got dd 2 pairs of culottes, 3 long sleeved tops, 2 pairs of tights and some of those beige Ugg boot copies! Not bad eh?

Oh and free p&p!

So someone please tell me the clothes are ok otherwise they'll all be going back.

My friend swears by them!

melsy · 02/11/2005 09:31

I bought alot of dds stuff when she was a baby. Itn seemed to wash up quite nicely. Think there stuff is very very good value and quite stylish.

Nemo1977 · 02/11/2005 09:32

clothes are fine from what i have bought. Ds has had a few items from them and all washed well which is amazing considering i am rubbish at washing and always put stuff on the wrong setting..lol

Nbg · 02/11/2005 09:33

Ah this is sounding positive.

I'll stop worrying now

Clothes are good, service is reasonable, free gifts are invariably pants.

Nbg · 02/11/2005 09:49

I wsn't geting my hopes up about the free "computer", lol!

I use Vertbaudet a fair bit. Clothes are lovely quality really nice cotton for t shirts. Some of the things with transfers on wear a bit, but then that's transfers for you. The two packs of fleecy lined legging for little girls are brilliant, very cosy and comfy for the winter. The free gifts are usually not up to much, but they're okay.

wilbur · 02/11/2005 10:06

LOL - misread frog's comment about gifts being pants and thought to myself "ooh, dd could do with some new pants, I'll check that out..." Duh!

I've just had a load of clothes from them, mostly for free in the end as the courier was so useless and didn't deliver for 7 weeks...v impressed with clothing, awful customer service. DS loves the laptop...he pretends to use his whilst daddy is on his laptop...though it has to be said that it is worth all of about £2.50!

jamese · 02/11/2005 10:17

I use them a lot - always seen to be able to get good discounts with them. The clothes wash really well, fit well and I have had no problem with delivery service.

Would fully recommend - but would never buy anything without a discount code. (they are two a penny)....

ellceeell · 02/11/2005 10:18

I've bought several things from them and been pleased with the quality. My courier was rubbish too - said he'd delivered and he hadn't. Then my next order he put a note through the door saying my parcel had been left "in the back porch". What he meant was - he'd thrown it over the back fence where it was lying half in and half out of the compost bucket!

laughinglil · 02/11/2005 10:24

lovely clothes .. I think they are 'different' good value for money!

NomDePlume · 02/11/2005 10:26

DD has the Ugg boot copies in chocolate brown, she adores them and they're fab for wintery days. I like the clothes from Vertbaudet, they aren't like everything else you'll find on the high street and they are nice quality.

laughinglil · 02/11/2005 10:29

I was going to order a pair of those ugg boot things for dd but I thought seeing as they are only cheap I was going to order a pair for ds. Are they really girly? do u think boys could get away with them?

Lizzylou · 02/11/2005 10:29

It should be noted that delivery probs were due to house being new build and a shortsighted/lazy courier who kept returning packages as she was too lazy to read a signpost...they did eventually send me £25+ boys clothes for free, but I had to have many a hormonal pregnancy hissy fit to customer service first!
I'll wait a while and order again though...DS looks lovely in the clothes and they are washing well.

jmb1964 · 02/11/2005 10:54

Yes, I use them a lot. Sizes on the small side, I usually buy up a year for all of them, but fit my skinny dd1 well - trousers from M+S, Next, etc just fall straight off her! Shoes not much good to us - too wide.
I usually hold off buying much until the 25% off everything code comes through, usually about now... Agree about the free gifts - lucky dip fodder!

wessexgirl · 02/11/2005 12:39

Vertbaudet do some lovely stuff for good prices and, once you have an account with them, the special offers come faster than you can use them. Clothes are good quality, though, as somebody has mentioned, they are smallish. DD (who is 2) fits into their 2 years size perfectly, but is still 12-18 months in Next.

One word of warning - check your monthly statements like a hawk. Lately they have been little beggars for trying to charge me Total Cover or interest that I don't owe .

frannyandzooey · 02/11/2005 12:46

I love Vertbaudet, and the girls' shoes go up to adult size 6.5, so I am usually to be seen in a pair of Vertbaudet boots - they only cost about £25 or even less with discount

Passionflower · 02/11/2005 13:49

Yep quality is fab. DD3 is wearing stuff third hand from both her sisters this winter and it still looks good as new.
