b day presents for a 3year old ds2

I cant believe that there is anything on earth he/we needs. I dont want to buy for the sake of it and would rather putt the diff. into his bank account. Any ideas? Ds1 reckons he wants power rangers and I will not get those for a year old!

small bike? so he can keep up with you as you stride healthily with the pram.

ds will be three in a month too so I'm looking forward to these suggestions. Unfortunately ds is far too lazy to ever use pedals - he likes us to push him along with the parent handle on his tricycle. Just like his daddy.

Dd has been given computer games (educationl ones) for about 2yrs now. Dd is 4 she loves the ones with the read along stories and their not very expensive. They have lots of things to click on and are ideal to join in with.

Mil once gave her a bush and some other stuff in a container and child sized gardening equipment, we all laughed at how silly it was but dd loved and still does love it, she calls it her garden! Wish I'd thought of it now.

got bikes, got duplo, got lego got trains from ds1 - prob os that ds2 has been corrupted onto ninja turtles and the like..... by you know who!

Pc games good idea - we have jump ahaed baby and he loves that - might try another xp compatible one.

New ELC catalogue has some wooden pirate ship playsets that look quite good, I think letterbox does them as well. Friend's DS loves a Fisher-Price castle playset.

thank you. we ade the mistake of getting ds1 a playmobil pirate ship too young., we have put it in the loft for when he is older. castle good idea tho.

Just finished talking to a friend who went all politically correct for her son and has got him a fisher price dolls house. It comes with figures and furniture and didn't cost too much from Argos.

It's plastic and when not in use as a doll's house, garage or what ever else he sits on it! How's that for multi-functional?!

actually my ds (almost 3) LOVES my dd's dollshouse. plays with it much more than her.
Mind you he also loves feather boas. And when he puts on his bob the builder hat and you say "are you being bob?" he says "no, I'm being wendy"....

DS1 loved the Plan Toys pirate ship I got him at Christmas (nearly 4) and DS2 enjoyed the Noahs ark from the same range. They're nice wooden toys that keep. Both also like the wooden farm from ELC (technically DS2s) and the wooden castle (DS1) both of which you can then get family members to buy accesories for (more so the wooden castle). DS1s jungle animals like living inthe castle too... which reminds me. ELC do an inflatable Safari play set - it's fantastic. You blow up lots of mountains and trees and can then play with your plastic animals on it (not included). I think they do a dinosaur one too and one that I can't remember. DS1 got that for his 3rd birthday and it's great.

whats the flexi track dinosaur stuff like?

we have afisher price gargage that is redundant at the mo...

I think SB34s DS has some of that flexi track. Apparently if you get your little sister's hair tangled up in the wheels of the truck, it stops working

Electronic keyboards are good fun (if you can stand the noise!)

My ds will be 4 this month but for his 3rd birthday he got some of the bruder toys. They are fabulous. He got the jcb and bulldozer for his birthday and since then we have added Tractor, trailer, combine harvester, low loader, forklift and dumptruck, He also got a brio train set for his birthday but has hardly looked at it. He has played for hours with the bruder toys. They are nice and sturdy.We will probably get him another couple of the bruder collection for this birthday as he has enjoyed playing with them so much. Hope this helps.

We got dd this groovy scooter for her 3rd birthday.

My ds really enjoyed the Brio train set that he had for his 3rd birthday two weeks ago (as long as he doesn't ask for a woolly hat and a notepad for his next one!). He also had some lego which can also be added to as he gets older.
